Reunion Coffee Roasters

One of my most favourite cups in the city. Roncy is spoiled for good coffee what with iDeal, Cherry Bomb and Aspect nearby. Nutty and chocolatey lattes, no sour, burnt or boring flat coffee here. Experienced efficient baristas. Excellent espresso machines. When it first opened I almost wanted to hate on this spot thinking it would be pretentious but it’s just some of the patrons, the staff are always lovely to me. Not sure why they’re getting the heat in the reviews, maybe bc they don’t put up with entitlement? I think the pastry is Blackbird so it slaps. Love their Bullet beans for home brewing. Can get busy but who cares on such a nice street. That’s kind of it: they do one thing well. Grab a great breakfast sandwich at Gold Standard nextdoor

Great breakfast sandwiches. I’ve had great espresso drinks here and also very disappointing ones. Not consistent unfortunately. I always go for a cortado or a flat white.

Does a great job of serving the locals with reasonably priced coffee. People watching mecca.

Love the Americanos here. The crullers here are pretty yummy.

The staff is always upbeat and nice.

It does get loud with the music and lots convos at times and the barista might not hear your order correctly.

This is my go-to cafe for delicious coffee and a chill workspace. My husband and I also buy our coffee beans from here regularly. Not sure what the deal is, but I recently learned that my husband always gets offered a free cup of coffee when he purchases multiple bags of beans. I have yet to experience this.

Work-friendly cafe with delicious burgers. I tried their cortado and iced americano. The coffee is ok to my taste. The cortado felt a bit dark though in the end you do get a citrus note. And the cute latte art really made up to the taste. I’m gonna try it again next time. Four guys burger exceeded my expectations. It’s very juicy.

Seriously rockstars, always so friendly and yummy coffee!

I’ve been going here for 3 years, mainly out of convenience from living so close. But my frequency of going has gone down significantly. The baristas are all kind of rude for no apparent reason; I understand it must be stressful but I feel like any question to them is a huge inconvenience. As soon as they see I don’t give a tip at the counter, they give me an instant silent treatment. I ask for the wifi password, they tell me to go look at the tiny random plant with size 12 font instead of just telling me the very simple password. Some of the baristas are also SCREAMING order numbers; there is no need for this and just creates an unnecessarily chaotic environment.

On a more serious note, I, as a POC, often come in with my Caucasian partner, and there is a notable difference in treatment, simply because I may not look like their typical (white) customer base. It’s a shame because the coffee and gold standard sandwiches are so good; wish it felt more comfortable to come more often.

Enjoyed an amazing breakfast and coffee with friends on their strong recommendation. The breakfast sandwich was outstanding and full of flavor and coffee was prepared to reference standard! A really relaxed vibe and for sure will be back to try the other sandwiches on the menu!

Dairy-free macadamia milk latte was outstanding. Service was friendly and fast. The gold standard breakfast sandwich was delicious, looks like your typical breakfast sandwich, but definitely a major upgrade from the others I've tried. Highly recommend checking out Reunion Coffee Roasters. It was well worth the walk to Roncesvalles!

Decent coffee shop, laptop friendly, but few tables. If you’d like to sit in to read or to work, I’d recommend coming early and snatch a table before other guests. The coffee itself was alright. Too bad they didn’t have a hand-pour/pour-over option to really savour the beans.
