The food was terrible, I had the Picanha which was served to me completely cold. It was not good. The salad it came with had 0 dressing on it and tasted sandy as if it wasn’t washed. No dressing on the table and for an expensive dish I was surprised the ketchup for my french fries were served in ketchup packets you would find at McDonald’s. The food was not good for anyone at the table and the pricing was super expensive. With these prices, I was expecting something a lot better. Wouldn’t go back or ever recommend this place to anyone.

This was probably one of the first few times I have dined at a Brazilian restaurant (the other being a Brazilian steakhouse), and it was a delightful experience. I came with my Brazilian friend who made the dining experience a level more authentic with her conversing with the waiters and placing our orders in Portuguese.
The food as it came out seemed familiar with it being served with rice and fries, but also unique at the same time with its unique sauce and seasoning blend.
I ordered the Alcatra Ao Molho Gorgonzola ($32). It was not among the best sirloin steaks I have sampled, but its combination with the Gorgonzola sauce makes the meal have its own unique twist. Another dish I was able to enjoy sampling was the Moqueca De Camarao ($29) which was a tiger shrimp stew. The stew was rich and very flavourful.
We were the first group of customers present when we arrived at 6PM on a Friday evening. The place, elegantly furnished, then slowly started to pack up with people as the night went on. The washroom can be reached downstairs through a darkly lit corridor.
It was an overall pleasant dinner with good service.

We had a great dinner at Rio 40! For drinks, we ordered a frozen margarita and a daiquiri — both were really good. For our main dishes, we had the picanha with pineapple and a regular picanha, and everything was absolutely delicious! The meat was cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and all the sides — beans, potatoes, salad, and rice — were tasty and complemented the dish really well. The pineapple was juicy, sweet, and just perfect.
The portions are big, so make sure you come hungry or plan to share!
For dessert, we tried a cocada with vanilla ice cream, and it was amazing — the mix of warm cocada with cold ice cream was delicious, and the sweetness was just right.
Service was good, but it could’ve been a bit better — everything took a little long, the food arrived before the drinks, and our water was forgotten until we reminded them.
Still, the food made it totally worth it. Definitely a place I’d go back to! 🇧🇷🥩🍍

The food, the service, and the attention were all amazing! The staff was very warm and friendly, and our server was excellent and attentive. I’ll definitely come back!
I’ve been to Rio 40 several times, and it’s a good restaurant in the St. Clair area for Brazilian food. I usually order the traditional picanha. The portions are generous, and the service is friendly. The menu isn’t particularly interesting, but the classic dishes are prepared properly. It’s not mind blowing, but it’s a comfortable spot for a satisfying meal.

I placed an order yesterday through Uber Eats and I still haven't received it. I can't get a refund. The delivery person said he had delivered it, but he never even showed up at my door because I was waiting for him there. Now I need to know how to resolve this.

recently went to Rio 40° with my family, the service was fantastic deserve the 20%, the atmosphere was good, I give 5 to the drinks, very good, however I give a 3 to my meal. The so called parmegiana was so dry, the meat was tender, but I wouldn’t call that parmejiana, I would call bife a milanesa with dry cheese on the top, they gave me some beans ( which was very taste) but never seen a parmegiana to be served with black beans. Usually parmegiana has a lot of tomato sauce and the cheese melt in your month. Very disappointed with my meal. Apparently the feijoada was very good. Would I come back? maybe for the feijoada.

This restaurant has unbelievably delicious food. I’ve never been disappointed!! Try it out, the shrimp appetizer is delicious, Bitoque is our favourite main. (Steak, with gravy, fried egg, rice and French fries)

It used to be my favorite Brazilian restaurant by far - unfortunately the portions have shrunken and the price has risen beyond what's acceptable. It still has delicious food, and one of the best pudding ever.
