Definitely feels like a classic Toronto spot that’s been around for decades (it has). Food is fine, we started with the burrata caprese and got the L’amatriciana, bolognese, and rapini. For desert, the classic tiramisu though they had a pistacchio one on special (we wanted the café flavour). The atmosphere is classic Italian Toronto spot, like old school Yorkville. Our server Steven was kind and attentive, but not in an overbearing way…it was my friend’s birthday dinner and they put a candle on the desert, which was perfectly subtle. It was cool to see all the photos in the stairwell

Disappointed with my experience. I've been to Sotto Sotto twice before and I always recommend it to people who ask where they should go in Toronto. I can no longer recommend it. Went for my birthday, and i ordered a dish ive had before, the Veal Limone. Its always very tender and exceptional tasting. This time it arrived with literally no taste whatsoever. I had to tell the server because it was truly tasteless and not enjoyable at all. He did the right thing by insisting it should be recooked, which I agreed. To my great disappointment however, the food came back, this time with taste but the meat was clearly cooked in a different way to make it faster and it was much less tender and very dry. It also came with different sides which was disappointing because the sides it originally came with were much nicer. It was clearly done without care. Ruined the experience and very much ruined my opinion of Sotto Sotto. You expect a little more care when spending $100 per person.

The Real Dotco
Had a specia birthday lunch with family there last week. Had reservations for 130 and a couple of guest were 30 mins late. We didn't realize they closed at 3. However we were never rushed or made to feel uncomfortable. All of the food was well prepared Scilian dishes but I thought caponata stood out. Service was great the place was busy and loud. A bit expensive for us for lunch but a good place to celebrate. Would definitely recommend and return.

It had been a while since I was last here and it felt the magic wasnt there on this visit. Food good but not great. Grumpy waiters arent cool anymore. Menu seemed shortened from what I recalled. Might try again, but might not.

Blessed Italian food. Interior is pretty outdated - not giving the “vintage” vibe I’m sure they’re aiming for. It’s time to change it up a little because it just looks outdated at this point.
The pastas are delish though, better than a lot of authentic Italian places out there. Fish is also great. Every item we got was great

Warm, cozy, and soul nourishing food. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend.
The manager was rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to make reasonable accommodations for food allergies. When I politely asked about safe options, I was met with an unhelpful and disrespectful attitude instead of basic understanding or care. It’s concerning to see such a lack of professionalism and empathy—especially when allergies are a serious health matter. I would not recommend this place to anyone who expects respectful service or has dietary restrictions.
