Sotto Sotto, you beautiful, chaotic masterpiece. I came here years ago, on a first date that, much like my college crush's affection for me, went up in smoke in the 2015 fire. But what rose from those ashes was something even better: a whole new set of memories and the eternal bond I have with your risotto. I've tried to be adventurous—I’ve had your fish, your pasta, your bruschetta that's so good it should have its own fan club—but let’s be real, I live for the risotto. It's the only commitment I'm truly ready for. And the staff? They're the real-life dramedy I never knew I needed. One moment they're a bit salty, the next they're the sweetest people on earth. It's like dining with a hundred of your closest cousins. And just like a family reunion, . I'll be back soon to add to my celebrity sightings (and my risotto addiction).

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant, specifically with the patio seating. The patio is located at the back of the building, accessed through a narrow alley, and during our visit we encountered multiple issues. While seated, we saw two mice and were eaten up by mosquitoes, which made the environment uncomfortable and unhygienic.

When we politely raised this concern with our server, the response was dismissive. We were told, “we’re outside, there would be mice,” without any acknowledgment of the seriousness of the situation or attempt to address it. While we understand that outdoor dining naturally comes with certain challenges, the manner in which the concern was handled was unprofessional and dismissive.

This was especially disappointing given the restaurant’s reputation as an upscale establishment. I have recommended Sotto Sotto to countless out-of-town clients and friends over the years, and it has been a regular suggestion of mine. In fact, one of the qualities I have always praised most highly is the consistently excellent service. Unfortunately, this experience did not reflect that standard, and left me questioning whether I can continue to recommend it with confidence.

It's a very good meal and Frank is a true professional.

One of my absolute favorite Italian restaurants—actually, my number one favorite! I’m very picky about Italian food, especially when it comes to tomato sauce, and this place nails it every time. I also love the Mediterranean touches and the fresh fish.

I had the Sea Bream, along with shrimp and plenty of other delicious dishes I didn’t even stop to photograph because I was too busy enjoying my meal—typical for me here. Everything was perfect. Five stars across the board!

Overrated, in one word. If you want mediocre, overpriced and prepackaged pasta book your reso now!

The food is obviously excellent in taste and quality. They don’t allow substitutions and o trust the kitchen so I never ask for them to change anything. If you have dietary restrictions you should be wary of this. They also have a strict dress code, so make sure to dress up. It’s the perfect place to celebrate a special day!

When I visit my home town I always enjoy at least one culinary special treat with my mother who loves fine dining. It had been a couple of decades since I last experienced Soto Soto and the experience exceeded my wonderful memories. Veal chops are hard to come by in my new home town so I was delighted by the perfectly executed veal chop. Every dish was beautifully presented and the taste lived up to the presentation. Service was world class. I will return well before another decade passes!

A rare Toronto spot that lived up to the hype. The mussels appetizer was the best I've had. Carbonara pasta was also really good. Their strawberry tiramisu was a nice change up. Service was fantastic. Highly recommend

very disappointed in the food.

Watched a bunch of tiktok’s and got amped to come here just to eat no special occasion.

The black pepper cream sauce pasta came with a very watery sauce and tasted grainy while my boyfriend liked it i did not .

The smoked salmon pasta was 5/10 at best i found a much more delicious version of salmon pasta at vagabondo which melts in your mouth and it’s not smoked like sotto but vagabondo Salmon fettuccine is to die for i dream of it. Nothing can top it really ….

Dont get caught in the hype because this is drakes fav it’s not that good.

I was sat in such a crowded spot. So many flies…..

had to park FAR.

The food was just ok- nothing special honestly. For the price point we expected better flavors. The service was good and space was nice. They do have these strange curtains for “privacy tables” but in the middle of the entire dinning area. They say they are fine dining but the space doesn’t scream fine dining. It’s an average restaurant at best.

Recently went back to Sotto Sotto after a long time, and they absolutely delivered just like they always do. The food, service, atmosphere —everything was top notch, as expected. It's great to see a place maintain such a high standard over time. Still one of the go-to spots when visiting the Toronto area. Highly recommend.

The staff and service were great, staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating. Sadly, we simply were not impressed by the food. The taste factor was just okay, did not blow our socks off. Was hoping for delicious tasty food, sadly we did not get that type of experience.
