This review will not be relevant to a majority of people.
I went here after seeing the menu. I knew there wasn’t many options for me as a vegan. But the menu listed the falafel as being vegan. Looking for a really good falafel I went only to be informed that it’s fried in the same oil as the chicken.
Dear owners that’s not vegan.
I was told though that they had some vegan dips and crackers and they would kindly bring me some sliced cucumber. My meal was brought in plastic containers and a paper bag. I never got the cucumber.
If am going to eat in, I want it plated. Otherwise why am I eating out and paying a tip?
The owner doesn’t need bother learn what vegan actually means. Not going back. I suggest all vegans and vegetarians avoid.

First time trying this popular place. Super expensive for the value. Also be warned that the hummus is so spicy it’s not kid friendly.

Fun cafe on St Clair West. Israeli food, so lots of middle eastern flavours. Limited seating inside and more on patio. Order at cashier. Can do take out or food will be brought to your table. Some baked good an availabpe for purchase as well. Amazing sandwiches. You have to try to Tahini Mocha coffee. Sooo good. Worth stopping in.

Vegetarian options: Falafel sandwiches and bowls. Hummus bowls. . Salads.

I had a beef shawarma wrap, their pita is not your typical dry pita. Theirs are fluffy, chewy and delicious. The spices for their beef is milder than what you might be used to, it allows for the beef to shine through.

The vibe is nice and staff is friendly, but I think there is something wrong with the cleanliness of the place and some misleading items on the menu are disappointing.

Wagyu hummus? I doubt it is wagyu, it is just a normal meat. I can’t see any marbling on the meat. I’m not saying it tastes bad, but it’s not wagyu, so not only an overpriced dish, but making fools of the customers isn’t nice.

Tables and cutleries are dirty and it’s so strange considering this place has a decent rating. (Picture of the table was taken after it was “cleaned”, I mean it’s difficult to clean it when it wasn’t cleaned for quite some time)

Hoping to come back soon to a clean place with real Wagyu which stated on the menu, otherwise doesn’t worth it all. Disappointed ☹️.

Had a lovely lunch here on the patio. I ordered the truffle hummus with challah with a rosewater spritz. The hummus had a great texture and came with a generous portion. The challah had a great flavour and was slightly sweet, I think the crumb was slightly denser than what I prefer.
Service was friendly and restaurant had a great bakery/cafe atmosphere.

The cookies, bread, and shawarma were incredible. I'll be back to try more soon!

We love this gem. We walk over all the time for a coffer or sandwich. Generous portions and the challah bread is unbelievable!

I had an absolutely delightful experience at Romi's!

The falafel is some of the best I've ever had—freshly made, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and packed with flavour. I also tried the Wagyu brisket hummus, which was rich, creamy, and had a kick of spice, paired perfectly with their homemade challah. The portions are generous and can definitely be shared if you're looking to try a few different items on the menu.

The cookies are also a must-have: moist and chewy in the centre, but with the right amount of crunch as well.

The staff are incredibly friendly and can guide you if you're unsure what to order.

I've been telling all my friends to come here—highly recommended!
