That said, I’m still struggling to understand how the Steak Frites is valued at $54. I ordered my steak medium-rare and it arrived lukewarm and closer to well-done. Even if it had been cooked correctly, I’d still have a hard time justifying that price point. A thin cut of steak with a side of fries simply doesn't align with a $54 menu item. At best, this felt like a $25 dish, or even a shareable app. The gap between expectation and reality was massive and meal just didn’t reflect the premium pricing in any sense…Either bring the pricing more in line with what’s being served, or elevate the dish to meet the standard your menu pricing is suggesting…

We booked a brunch reservation to celebrate my sister’s birthday online BUT when we got there at 11am, they told us bottomless brunch doesn’t begin until 12pm. They gave us the brunch menu, but wouldn’t let us order the bottomless brunch. We asked if they can make an exception and the manager gave a hard no and preferred to let us leave instead of providing good customer service.

Great location. The Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich was excellent. The romaine salad was light on croutons and bacon but very good otherwise. The staff is exceptional in every way. Our waiter Peter was absalutely fantastic & a 10/10. Fast service - We had a reservation and we were seated immediately. Food & drinks in under 10 mins. The restaurant is on the second floor of the HotelX, which is truly stunning. Look for a red neon rose for entry. I would definitely recommend.

Dined here last night and loved it from start to finish. Lovely vibe with beautiful views of the water. Harsh the manager sent us complimentary shots because our food was taking longer. The steak frites and the burrata were both delicious. Definately recommend for a night out!

Just had the most amazing experience at this absolute hidden gem of a restaurant — and I honestly don’t know why more people aren’t talking about it! From the moment we parked (super easy, with validation!) to navigating through the hotel to the restaurant, everything was seamless and stress-free.
The space is beautiful, and the vibe is relaxed. We never felt rushed, which is such a treat these days. Our server was the perfect mix of friendly and attentive, without hovering. Just really thoughtful, warm service all around.
The food? Incredible. Every dish was perfectly timed and absolutely delicious. And for a high-end hotel restaurant, the pricing is surprisingly reasonable. Seriously great value for the quality and experience.
They offer brunch every day (not just weekends 🙌), bottomless mimosas, and even a pre-show dinner special, which makes it such a versatile spot. We are excited to go back for dinner before we head to bud stage in a couple weeks!
One of the sweetest touches…they somehow discovered we were celebrating a birthday and, without making a big fuss, brought out a little brownie with sparklers. It was thoughtful, low-key, and just the perfect way to end the meal.
It’s the kind of place you want to tell everyone about… but also kind of want to keep to yourself. Can’t wait to go back!

I've only been to Roses Social a few times and each time I went i was greeted by friendly staff and sat in a wonderfully sunlit and warm restaurant. My server Peter was very prompt and met all my needs as a customer, what a pleasant fellow! The Huevos Rancheros had such a huge flavour profile and was a great cross between creamy and hearty. The real shining star of the brunch menu is the southern style eggs Benedict, perfectly poached eggs on top of in house made smashed potato patties and a delicious red sauce on top. I will definitely be coming back to Roses Social anytime i find myself in Toronto!
Had the enjoyment of spending three days at Hotel X and visited Roses several times during our stay for food and drink due to the outstanding friendly service of Harsh, Harry and Connor behind the bar. The food was great, the bar service was top notch, the team very sociable even though they were busy... Not a cocktail person, but they seem to specialize in all kinds of fancy drinks as well. We will make an effort to pop by to visit them again, next time we are in town... Highly recommend you to check them out...

We experienced extremely long waits for drinks—even basic requests like water took multiple reminders, with one of us having to ask three times. Dirty dishes were left at our table long after we finished eating, which made the experience feel neglected. For the price, we expected a much smoother and more attentive dining experience. It’s a shame because the food was great, but the poor service made the overall visit disappointing.
