This is by far the best bar to watch a game (especially the Steelers!) and drink some craft beer. They have a great selection! They also make the best ceasars! They also serve hot dogs (I recommend the Coney Island), sandwiches and popcorn! Kristin and her staff are amazing! Always very welcoming! It’s no wonder this place has been open for as long as it has!

Been going to The Horn for many, many years. We've gotten to know all the staff who are absolutely amazing. It's one of our regular spots in the neighbourhood to have a delish local lager (or three, who are we kidding, right Dave?!) a munchie and chill on one of the best backyard patios in the city. There's always a game on and the vibe on the inside is laid back and comfy. Kristin and the crew are all gems! 5/5!

The Chicago dog was better than Wrigley field. The vibe is early 2000s interior with two great pinballs in the back as well as a very chill patio and COLD beer!

If you’re around Roncy, this spot is definitely worth checking out. Great beer selection, killer patio vibe, and solid food to match. The crew running the place? Top-notch people who really know how to make you feel welcome. Definitely a go-to.

Leafy Pints, Limp Nachos, and a Pinball Hangover

Intro Scene
Picture this: a shady backyard strung with fairy lights, half-feral vines clawing at old fences, a pinball machine humming inside like some neon shrine to Sean Connery’s chest hair. It’s Round the Horn — your local dog-friendly, snack-slinging Junction watering hole that feels like a porch you stumbled onto and decided never to leave.

What Was Ordered

Jerk Chicken Nachos — all crunch, barely any bird.

French Onion Dip basket — salty, gone in minutes.

A round of pints, crisp ciders, and one ‘spicy’ Paloma that wore a sugar rim like a liar — not a hint of heat, but fine for patio day-drinking.

Service Commentary
Full house, but the server was a gem — chill, warm, kept the beers flowing without hovering. You could tell he’d be just as happy telling your dog he’s a good boy as he would be remembering your order.

Vibe Check
Busy but not claustrophobic. A mixed bag of regulars, sun-chasers, and one pair who definitely argued about composting before they arrived. Zero pretension. It’s where you go when you’d rather gossip under a tree than scream over a DJ.

The Space Itself
The patio is the crown jewel: leafy shade, scrappy tables, and a wall of fake sunflowers that works because you’re half buzzed. Inside, mismatched chairs, board games, and a couple of pinball machines (Dr. No and JAWS) humming like an old dive’s heartbeat.

About the Neighborhood
Right in the heart of the Junction — that strip where everyone’s dog thinks it’s the main character. Street parking’s a gamble, but you’ll forgive that once you’re nursing a pint under a canopy of green. BYO food from next door if you’re smart.

Hits & Misses
✓ Cold beer, crisp cider — all easy-drinking.
✓ Back patio — shady, laid-back, might be the best backyard you don’t own.
✓ Board games and pinball — retro weirdness you didn’t know you needed.
✗ Jerk Chicken Nachos — stingy on the meat, skip ‘em.
✗ Spicy Paloma wasn’t spicy — sweet rim, zero kick.
✗ No fresh fries — don’t come craving pub classics.

Final Verdict
Round the Horn is that rare Toronto spot that still feels like someone’s busted-up porch — in the best possible way. The food won’t blow your mind, but the patio, the pints, and the pinball are reason enough to stay until your dog drags you home.

This was the first place I ever went to when I first moved to roncy. The atmosphere is very fun, especially at night, and you can order popcorn and their delicious hot dogs. The dressed like a big mac hotdog is a recommendation!! #
