One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The staff were incredibly welcoming and the food was full of flavor. A must-visit!

I have ordered from them multiple times but there is always something or the other missing. They never refund the missing items. Don’t order online from them.

With food this good, I’m shocked not to see the place more packed. Delicious, full & complex flavours across the board. I tried some spicy crisped gobi, veg tandoori momos w/ cilantro chutney, and a signature cocktail. Highly recommend this spot for any groups or date nights. Well priced as well for the quality.

Ordered the shami. It was hard and minced but not ground like traditional shami kebab. It came on a bed of biryani rice and mini breads and 4 pieces for $17.99. I come from a place where we eat shami kebab quite regularly and I wanted to rekindle my nostalgia of the homeland. I was disappointed in the fact that it’s just like any regular kebab which I could’ve ordered from any middle eastern or Persian place.

For the chef: you have to use split lentils soak them overnight and cook chunks of meat with spices. Cook in a pan till the oil separates. Let it cool off, and grind it in a mixer grinder / food processor and create patties to be shallow fried on a flat pan. THIS is how shami kebab is made. I can tell that the way they made this, raw minced meat was mixed with spices and cooked on a stove top as regular kebabs which take away from the authenticity of the name. Shami kebab needs to have “resham” in it, which is string like texture. Not cumbersome thick chunks of meat when you bite from it.

If you’re not making it as is supposed to, you should just change the name to “mutton kebabs” so it’s not misleading.

Needless to say my nostalgia remains a nostalgic I may just have to cook it myself. Disappointed.

PS: I added pictures of the kebab and a video to show how hard the texture was. And a reference image from the internet to show how shami kebab should look on the inside.

Strongly recommend to change the name to regular kebabs or make it the right way.
