The jerk chicken portion was a joke. Ordered a large (paid an extra 4.5$) and got the smallest piece of mainly-bone chicken, drowning in uncle ben’s rice. Terrible value.

I usually don’t leave a ton of reviews in general - and I will start by saying the employees are always wonderful and the food itself is good. I did want to point out that I used to get Roywoods almost daily a few years ago and I stopped and now I remember why: a large jerk chicken is three pieces of chicken - it also now has a bone and I swear before it didn’t. All this to say 30$ for this portion (with a side coleslaw) is just not worth it anymore :/

Visited this location after seeing the Plantain Obsession dessert advertised right in their front window, only to walk in and be told they don’t even carry it anymore. The cashier explained it was due to a lack of sales, so why is the poster still up? That’s misleading and frustrating.

On top of that, the cashier couldn’t hear me over the music and kept saying “huh?” every time I spoke. No manners, and no professionalism. The cook in the back just stood there silently staring at my family and me when we walked in no greeting, no acknowledgment. The whole vibe felt unwelcoming and uncomfortable.

If you’re thinking about trying Roy Woods, skip this location and head to Union Station instead. Much better customer service and overall experience there.

Well I haven't been here for a bit. Ordered a small curried goat meal and BBQ wings. The prices have gone up and the portion for dried up goat are smaller. It used to be really good but now, with higher prices, the quality has gotten down so much that they have lost a customer of many years.
