Best ice cream in the city, busy even in the winter!

I’ve tried Ruru Baked three separate times now, and unfortunately my opinion hasn’t really changed. It’s one of the more popular ice cream spots in Toronto and definitely on the pricier side, so I genuinely wanted to give it a fair chance, especially because their flavour combinations sound so creative and bold.
For me, there are two main issues. First, the texture, it is noticeably less smooth and creamy as expected. I even let it sit out for a while before eating it instead of having it straight from the freezer, but the texture was still the same. Not sure if that’s typical or it was just the flavour or batch I had received.
In terms of flavour, I found it quite mild. Despite choosing options that sounded bold on the menu, the overall taste came across mostly as general sweetness rather than distinct, pronounced flavours.

Best Ice Cream in the Galaxy ✨ Really lives up to the name, they have sooo many exotic flavors, vegan options, toppings and fresh energy in the space! Highly recommended all times of the year! They even have ice cream making classes & merch on the website

My partner and I love Ruru Baked ice cream, and so we reached out to see if they had event catering for our wedding. They do, and it’s just as amazing as it is normally! They were also very reasonably priced and super easy to communicate with - booking them was a stress-free experience and they were such professionals and such a fun vibe to have on the night. I would recommend Ruru Baked to anyone who somehow has not tried it yet, but I would also recommend using them for your catering/event needs - our guests were absolutely raving about them!
