Stopped here for lunch. A bit dark inside. Only few tables occupied. Only one paper menu on the table. We borrowed one from an adjacent table. The water was room temperature. The Singha draft beer was not very cold. We ordered the chicken Penang and the chicken Basil noodles. Both were of decent size and reasonably priced. Unfortunately they were bland and completely lacking in any flavour We did not see our waiter again so my wife walked towards the open kitchen area to see if she can get some soya sauce to try and salvage the dishes. She asked someone who I assume is the manager who was very apologetic and brought some soya sauce and some garlic bits to add to the noodles. He offered to replace the Panang dish which he did with the green chicken curry. Unfortunately that dish was also very bland with absolutely no flavour. It is unfortunate as they tried but it seems their recipes result in bland barely edible food.

I ordered the Thai basil noodles with chicken, along with the chef’s special Korean fried chicken, which came with rice, cucumber, and a topping of sliced jalapeños. The service was fast—my food arrived in about 10 minutes, likely because I was the only diner at the time.
Although I had requested spicy, the heat level was fairly mild for my taste, so I added some chili oil to kick it up a notch. The Korean fried chicken was impressively crispy, and the sauce had a tangy flavor with a touch of sweetness that was a bit much for me, but the jalapeños balanced it nicely.
I’ll definitely be returning to try their popular Islamic noodles next time.

I never thought I'd ever be writing a bad review for Salad King - I've been going there for over 20 years! To my surprise on my last visit they told me that the Spicy Chicken was discontinued... I thought they were joking as this was their best dish IMO. The server recommended Jungle chicken since the base sause was the same... I ended up giving it a try. Honestly, total disappointment... it felt watered down and despite asking for 3 chili there was zero chili's in it. I guess as the saying goes... all good things must come to an end. Heartbreaking 💔
