Staff are friendly and down to earth. Plus the store has my name so you know it's good.
Good coffee but the guy taking your order felt very inconvenienced by having any customers. Maybe don't work at a coffee shop it you're so miserable taking peoples coffee orders?
Nice, good pastries and cappuccino, good music as well
Love this place. One of my favourites coffees in town.
its become insanely expensive, great coffee and service but 8$ when all said and done is too much these days.
Great service and good selection of coffee and tea! I tried the mocha from this location was pretty impressed.
They have some baked goods at the front as well which were also pretty tasty. I got the spelt chocolate chip cookie which was AMAZING!!
Definitely give this place a try if you’re in the area and looking for a coffee, I will definitely be back!
Cute place. I get the hype. The coffee, service and atmosphere are all above average.
Okay coffee. Better seating options would be great.

A local institution. Delicious espresso drinks and consistent. Excellent pastries when in stock. My go-to spot in Toronto.
Dietary restrictions: Good labeling on baked options and milk substitutions.

First Impression: A casual little coffee shop.
Favourite: I only tried the Cappuccino.
Critiques: I had really high expectations for this place because many people in the city claim it’s the best coffee. The cappuccino left me disappointed. It was too milky for my liking.
Bonus: Decorated with pieces of art and trinkets which makes the place more interesting.
Take Away: I may give same James another shot.

In town for a few weeks and we always seek out niche coffee shops who take their coffee seriously, when we travel. Sam James was on the list. The cortado in-house was delicious and just enough milk to accent the notes. Bought a bag to make pour overs at home. When we opened it, it seemed flat and tasteless. Communicated with Sam James and Jordan responded quickly, explained we may need to wait a little longer post-roast to let the aroma and notes pull through, and a bit of history on their coffees. He was thorough, and you know, when someone takes time to add a little education on their roasting, etc you know this is a serious place to enjoy serious coffee. I would recommend all day, every day! Thank you...see you this fall on our next trip!

A little pricey, but some of the best espresso and pastries I've had in the area.
