Coffee really not good - if you’re into coffee, don’t come here.
I came in for a latte and I was so impressed. The house flavor tastes amazing. I’m definitely going to come back to Sam James Coffee Bar

Coffee beans are solid (we buy and grind for our own machine). The coffee made here is hit or miss depending on the barista. At its best it’s very good and comparable to other speciality coffee shops. The pastries are amazing (form Harbord Bakery), especially the cinnamon swirl - we mostly visit just for this item.

I’m not a coffee fan but I often sacrifice my well-being for the delicious coffee at SJC. Love their cookies and croissants too.

Good coffee but the guy taking your order felt very inconvenienced by having any customers. Maybe don't work at a coffee shop it you're so miserable taking peoples coffee orders?

Love this place. One of my favourites coffees in town.
its become insanely expensive, great coffee and service but 8$ when all said and done is too much these days.
Great service and good selection of coffee and tea! I tried the mocha from this location was pretty impressed.
They have some baked goods at the front as well which were also pretty tasty. I got the spelt chocolate chip cookie which was AMAZING!!
Definitely give this place a try if you’re in the area and looking for a coffee, I will definitely be back!
