Cutest little grab and go shop in the path. First time trying their chai and it was delicious and actually super hot which was awesome. Staff was unbelievably kind and great to chat with. There’s a cute little seating just across the hall as well. Great vibes, affordable and yummy drinks n pastries

I went to Sam James for an afternoon indulgence. Tucked away in the PATH downtown it's a charming coffee place. The latte was great made with lactose free milk. Not every cafe or coffee shop has it which means Sam James will be my go to everytime I go to work. I look forward to trying the other beverages. There is no seating area but I believe they have a second location as well. I recommend this cafe

I’ve been coming to Sam James for many years, and the coffee has been consistently excellent every single time. I even use their beans at home – they’re the best I’ve found anywhere in North America. The roast is perfectly balanced, never overdone, and the quality really shines through in every sip. That said, the prices are starting to get a bit out of reach, which makes it harder to enjoy as often as I’d like.
The staff always make my day when visiting the path location! Best spot for espresso downtown, hands down. And the tunes are a sonic oasis from the retail pop you'll find in the rest of the path. 10/10 recommend!

THE espresso on-the-go PATH favourite for Bay streeters, St.Andrew station Tim’s is not the spot for real espresso - walk a few steps to Sam’s.
Use their nice little seating spot in the path too, but with Starbucks closing locations on Bay St and this is a local spot, it’s the best spot.
Good luck finding anything else in the PATH! I was born a few blocks from here and still need to come up every once to get my bearings….
