This quaint place next door to the downtown holiday Inn is great. Very authentic udon. We got the pork udon and brothless beef udon, both very good. I also enjoyed the chicken and mushroom tempora. Great warming food as the weather gets colder. Would come here again

Udon soup base was underwhelming. Comparable in quality to soy sauce in water. I had the torched pork belly udon. The pork was okay. My companion had the jumbo shrimp tempura udon that was very unjumbolike, with mediocre batter.

Service was okay, quick and efficient if not warm.

I dont understand the high reviews here. The soup base for the udon was neither rich or flavorful. The shrimp tempura was very average and not a large size and lacked that springy fresh texture. For $20 a bowl, this udon is below expectation.

It comes nowhere close to authentic taste of a Japanese udon

The kakiage udon was delicious. The taste is almost the same as in Japan, so it's recommended if you want to eat udon in Toronto.
