Cash or Canadian debit cards only. No foreign cards, no credit.
As the owners don't want to accept most cards, you'll have to get up and walk to a nearby gas station, pay an ATM fee and (in my case) also a bad foreign exchange fee just to settle your bill.
The food is quite decent, healthy, etc. Staff are nice.
If not for the payment issue I'd have given it 4 stars. For making me run to the gas station? Zero, if I could give it

You can go with their basic breakfast or do one of their funky specials. Would be awesome to add a tofu scramble to the menu. I like the option for half size pancakes so you can order on top of your main dish and share with others. I love that their hot sauce is served with a teaspoon, you’ll get what I mean when you order. Service is somewhat inconsistent, staff aren’t always that friendly and helpful but they’re also pretty overwhelmed with lots of people.

Wow so special finding a cafe in Toronto that is not only cute... Not only affordable... Not only unique and delicious on their menu but also have huge lattes and juices!

Had heard a lot of great things about this spot was completely underwhelmed, especially by the service - our table was seemingly forgotten about while others were seated, served and left before we even got our food. When we did get our food it was pretty good but frankly, nothing to write home about.
Vegetarian options: Lots available
Parking: Plenty of street parking

We found a BUG dried out on the edge of the glass of our orange juice… and my partner had a bite on his arm after we left the restaurant. Pretty sure it was bed bug…
The food was not fresh and tasteless: salad leaves were slimy, bacon was over fried that it was hard to chew and cheese was definitely smelling funky like it went bad or stayed in the fridge for a long time.
Orange juice was having weird taste, either they add smth to the juice, or oranges went bad, or juice machine is not cleaned every day… Coffee was terrible, you are not suppose to boil the milk.
Cute place with ok service, but with huge concern about hygiene and food freshness/safety.

Bad Service Ruined Brunch Experience
On July 8, 2024, at 1:30 PM, I had a terrible brunch experience at your restaurant due to extremely rude service from a female server. Despite the delicious food, the server's behavior ruined my entire day and I will not be returning. I urge the owner to take action to address this issue, as this employee's continued presence will undoubtedly lead to further negative reviews.
Here are specific examples of the server's unacceptable behavior:
Seating: When we entered the restaurant and stated we were a party of three, the server instructed us to push two tables together ourselves instead of doing it for us.
Air Conditioning: The restaurant was extremely hot (30 degrees Celsius), and when we requested the air conditioning be turned on, the server pointed to a vent that was already off and claimed it was on.
Order Accuracy: When ordering, I inquired about the presence of coriander in a dish. The server admitted they were unsure and instead of checking with the kitchen, told me to ask myself. Despite requesting that coriander be omitted, the dish arrived with a generous sprinkling of cilantro. When I pointed out my request, the server dismissively stated that coriander and cilantro are different herbs.
Communication: Throughout the entire interaction, the server displayed a dismissive and unhelpful attitude, often avoiding eye contact when we asked questions or made requests. This was particularly concerning given that we are native English speakers and had no communication issues.

The food came out early and was delicious. Every dish was beautifully crafted. As a trio, we ordered french toast, tacos, a sandwich, and spicy potatoes to share. However, the restaurant was uncomfortably hot. When we asked to order a drink, the server informed us they didn't have any ice. Apparently, they run out of ice in the afternoon. When we asked if she could turn on the AC, she insisted it was already on, despite it being visibly turned off. When we inquired about the menu and drinks, her response was "I don't know" for pretty much everything. One of our friends can't eat cilantro, so we requested it be removed. Unfortunately, the dish still came out with cilantro. When we mentioned this to our server, she replied, "You said coriander, not cilantro." Despite both terms referring to the same plant, she refused to take the dish back after lecturing us on the difference and walked away. Our friend ended up not eating the two dishes that had cilantro. The whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths, and I'm not sure if I'll be back.

Pree cooked bacon go somewheres where your entire 20$ meal is fresh.
Over-rated resto. It’s just ok.

The service is great and the food is good, the flavours are not very strong, BUT keep in mind they only take cash or debit which was annoying.
