Scaccia Reviews
I've been eating at this restaurant for over 20 years. The food is excellent and the service terrific. Recently they have elected to add music of questionable quality to the atmosphere which is played at such a volume that conversation is impossible. For the first time in many years I will not be celebrating my birthday there and will only use there takeout in the future.
Good Italian comfort food!👍

Scaccia is a charming Italian restaurant located in the Manulife Centre. The restaurant has been renovated to feature a stylish dining room with a French toile wallpaper decor and soft lighting. The service is great, and the staff is wonderful. The food is delicious, with a focus on Italian cuisine. Must-try dishes include the scaccia of the day, which has variations like sausage, spinach, and red beans, and the risotto al pollo, which is cooked to perfection. The restaurant also offers vegetarian options, created by one of the owners who is vegetarian. Customers have raved about the fresh, hot pasta, describing it as the best they've ever had, and noting the restaurant’s cleanliness and amazing atmosphere. The Mista salad was praised for its well-balanced flavors, with nicely layered greens, roasted sweet peppers, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber, all complemented by a lovely balsamic vinaigrette. The menu features more than just salads, including pastas and risotto. The ambiance is exceptional, making it feel like a special dining experience even within a retail mall. The service is highly appreciated, with some reviews mentioning outstanding service by staff members like Fernando. While some find the sandwiches a bit dry, the ingredients in the scaccia work well together, and a small container of marinara could enhance the experience. With reasonable prices and generous portions, Scaccia remains an attractive option for those who enjoy Italian food. The atmosphere is lovely, though the noise level can sometimes be higher than expected.
