From the moment we walked in, the restaurant delivered a level of service and atmosphere that felt both luxurious and warmly inviting. Every detail, from the lighting to the pacing of the courses , was carefully curated to create a memorable evening.

The highlight of the night was the peppercorn fettuccine. Rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced, the sauce had just the right amount of peppery bite without overwhelming the dish. The pasta was cooked with precision, creating that ideal tenderness that only high-end kitchens seem to master. It’s one of those dishes that immediately makes you slow down to savor every bite.

The filet mignon was equally outstanding. Cooked exactly to temperature, the steak was melt-in-your-mouth tender with a beautiful sear on the outside. The seasoning was subtle but confident, letting the quality of the meat speak for itself. Paired with the fettuccine, the combination was indulgent in the best possible.

Overall, this was one of the most satisfying fine-dining meals I’ve had in a long time. If you’re looking for standout dishes, the peppercorn fettuccine and filet mignon are absolute must-tries.

We celebrated a birthday here earlier this year, and returned this week for another. The presentation of some dishes has changed, but the food remains consistently excellent. Service was pretty good as well. They would split dishes for you if you’re sharing everything. We found that very thoughtful.

Exceptional cuisine; service somewhat detatched; professional but not friendly. Update November 29, 2025: Great evening; Jaime, our server, was wonderful.

Opentable Diner

A special milestone birthday celebration among four long time friends. Delicious meal, fantastic wine list, pleasant attentive service, lovely modern room decor, and standout dessert- the specialty of the house. Would definitely go back.

Incredible food and service and ambience. This is the best restaurant in Toronto by far. Thank you for an incredible meal as always.

Lets start with positive, staff are amazing . They all try their best and view is gorgeous. Coconut pie is too die for.
Now food is different story. My food had not much taste, I had short rib, which had same sauce as fillet mignon . And as you can see in picture I didn't touch risotto. Yet they charged us.
I would recommend this place for vallet parking and view with dessert only.

It’s a popular, stylish, and elegant place close to Yonge and Bay street intersection. It’s pretty busy on weekends, so it’s better to book in advance.

Terrine of Foie Gras
It’s a very tender, airy pate with Riesling jelly and toasted hazelnuts that create a crispy textural contrast, served with sea-salt brioche. If you add to that sweet and tart notes from sour cherry reduction and roasted rhubarb you will have a full picture of this impressive dish (ok, it’s a bit pricey, but you cannot expect Foie Gras on the same as a regular pate).

Tuna Tartare
Tuna tartare with avocado, radish, coriander and sesame tempura is a celestial symphony of tastes and flavors. It’s the best tuna tartare I ever tasted with unimaginable combination of different textutes that delivers your palate an experience close to climax.

Chicken
It seems to me to figure out a chef's talent is to try both - something very uncommon and something very standard. The roasted chicken breast was tender, white asparagus and morels were fabilous, but overall it was not something special or memorable.

Filet Mignon
It's a good filet mignon with amazing side of mixed mushrooms and green beans. Red wine jus was a perfect match for the meat.

Coffee Semifreddo Dacquoise
Probably it's the best frosen desert that I tried in last 3 years with nice bitter coffee notes, crispy sweet hints from hazelnut praline, and plesant boozy notes from the brandy caramel sauce and chocolate shards

Conclusion: it’s a great place, we visit it from time to time when we come for concerts at the Royal Conservatory of Music nearby.

Food was very flavorful and staff was good and attentive. It was quite noisy even for a weeknight. I’m glad they’re busy and it’s not like people were loud and rude. But the seatings are kind of close and the noise just adds up. Prices are not bad as far as French restaurants go. Will go back sometime.

What's not to love about Scaramouche? The food is superbly prepared and presented. The multiple daily specials flesh out the popular menu items that regulars rely on appearing -- the foie gras, the duck breast, and so on. The wait staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The view of the city is magical. The perfect place for a celebratory dinner.

What a great experience. Service was top notch from start to finish. Not rushed at all and incredibly polite and accommodating. Good was excellent - everything we had, starters, appetizers, main course, dessert were so tasty and beautifully presented. Could not have asked for a better evening - we will be back again!! Thanks specifically to Kevin our waiter who was excellent!
