Very cute. Bagels are lovely but I got The Maven which is a salmon bagel and I really don’t like salmon in my breakfast so that might be me.
Parking: Green P on the road outside. Plenty of spots.

Schmaltz Appetizing is a classic Jewish deli known for its wide variety of sandwiches and bagels. The menu is packed with options ranging from traditional smoked fish varieties to modern twists, like the bagels with cured fish, cream cheese, and all the fixings.
I went with the Maven sandwich, which comes loaded with a generous portion of smoked salmon, smooth cream cheese, and capers, all on a fresh, chewy bagel. The sandwich was simple but packed with flavor, hitting all the right notes for a deli classic.
Schmaltz has a laid-back vibe, with its rustic storefront and simple interior giving it an authentic, no-nonsense feel. To wash down the sandwich, I grabbed a Vernors ginger ale – a rare find in stores and a nice bonus that added to the overall experience. If you're in the mood for a quality bagel sandwich with a classic deli feel, Schmaltz Appetizing is a solid pick.
Parking: Right next to the entrance there is a paid parking lot but also street parking available.

Sandwiches are huge. Can share. One of the best smoked salmons in the city.
Best value to buy bagels, fish, cheese, and assemble at home.
Vegetarian options: Fish or dairy.

What an amazing place. I wish I knew about it when I lived in Toronto. I ordered one of the amazing bagel sandwiches, and then I ordered a dozen bagels to go. Friendly service, chatted with the staff for a bit, and I was on my way. Next time I’m in town I’m gonna pick up some of their cream cheese and spreads.

If you’re a bagel lover, this spot is a must-visit! I tried the Maven on an everything bagel, and it was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were fresh, generously portioned, and full of flavor. The bagel itself had the perfect chew, with just the right amount of seasoning. The lady at the counter was incredibly friendly and recommended the Maven and the Chub Chub as fan favorites. The ambiance in the back was stunning, with a beautiful little fountain that made me want to stay all day.

Tasty bagel, however I got a really bad vibe of the lady working there. She was aggressive towards me. Which makes me reconsider visiting your food establishment in the future.

$76 was our bill
To spend $76 and get sigh-ing and snarkiness from the older not attractive gray-haired guy serving me?
My daughter got a vegetarian bagel sandwich, I had lox
Staying in a hotel so lets get bagels+cream cheese for the next 3 days
Asked the counter dude to toast my 3 bagels he repeated it back to me like "really? you want me to cut them in half and THEN toast them?" This was after he said "egg? on top of your lox bagel"
Ahhh yes....yes please
So 2 bagel sandwiches, 2 cream cheese, 2 pieces of Bobka? and 6 bagels (3 toasted)
Our bill was $76 see receipt
I asked for the receipt and that's what he handed me, no breakdown
