I visited last Sunday night, and there were two boys working. They were really funny, engaging, and fast. Then I came again last Thursday morning, when two girls were working. They were really slow and kept talking in their own language, which I didn’t understand. I found that unprofessional and a bit offensive. My colleagues also felt the same way. The last time, we enjoyed spending time in the store because of the great service, but this time the experience was completely the opposite. The food is above average, though.

I visited this branch of Shahs around 12, the chicken was absolutely delicious and flavorful, it was soft and juicy, the guy upstairs was very nice and energetic in the weekend morning and made my food very careful make, I tried this place before in nyc but this chicken was so much better
Taste is very good but the portions are children’s portions.

I have been coming here since they've opened and the quality has gone down. I really root for this place but this past year, I have not had a 100% enjoyable meal/experience.
Usual order: chicken platter, extra chicken. The chicken is flavoured nice but more and more I get bites of chewy chicken tendons and fat - at least 5 of my bites per meal. The staff are not taking the extra effort in removing this during prep OR they're cutting costs by buying cheaper cuts of meat.
The staff have also become increasingly stingy with portions. Extra chicken gets you 1/2 a scoop instead of a full. And when they're serving chickpeas and black beans, theyre all 1/2 scoops as well.
When I've addressed this with staff in the past they refuse to provide more and say they're not allowed to. Seems as if management has pressured them into being stingy on portions, even when they're not giving full portion sizes any more.
