Its an okay shawarma place. The place doesnt seem clean and the shawarma upset my stomach . There are definitely better shawarma places around
15$ with tip for a pop, a bread & lettuce sandwich with barely any meat. I understand pandemic & downtown lease but come on a scope or two more on such a slow new years’s eve night doesn’t break the bank.
I got the chicken shawarma wrap. Judging from the reviews, others seem to like it, but I found it completely tasteless and bland. I got every ingredient, and even ordered it spicy, but it was mild at best. Not sure what went wrong. They do give you a good portion, but overall would not recommend this.
I am beyond upset and unbelievably disappointed with this restaurant. Yesterday, March 1st at 6 PM, I decided to order from here after seeing good reviews. Big mistake. I ordered two chicken shawarmas, one with extra meat that I PAID for. I live just 15 minutes away, yet my order took a ridiculous one hour to arrive. That should have been my first red flag.
But the real issue? The food itself. Instead of actually adding the extra chicken into the shawarma like any reasonable person would expect, they threw it in a plastic container on the side. What am I supposed to do—unwrap my food and try to shove the meat in myself? Absolutely no common sense.
And then there’s the shawarma itself. Whoever prepped these did a horrendous job. The wraps were skinny, barely had any filling, and to top it off, they were ripped in multiple places, making them impossible to hold or eat without falling apart. It was a complete disaster.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, my partner found a piece of bone or hard cartilage in their wrap. Absolutely disgusting. I cannot believe the lack of care in both food quality and service. The employees clearly have no clue what they’re doing and no respect for proper food handling.
Avoid this place unless you want to waste your time, money, and appetite.
I’m attaching a photo of the food that we could not even finish and had to throw in the garbage, not even having eaten half of it.
Dietary restrictions: Not safe. This restaurant does not take proper care in food preparation—my order contained a piece of bone or hard cartilage in the meat. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, I would not trust them to handle your food safely.

There were bone shards in the wraps and I asked for extra meat IN the wrap not chicken pieces on the side… lost my appetite

I am so sorry but I can’t figure out why people like this place. The chicken is so bland and even the sauces couldn’t save it! Also there’s lots of confusion when it’s busy, no clear signage on where to order and pay.

Got a mixed shawarma plate on rice. The beef and shawarma are excellently seasoned, being far better than a large majority of the stores in tlthr GTA. Add the rice and sauces to the mix, and you have a great tasting meal. I do wish they would include more sauce with the plate, but regardless it's a shawarma spot with cheap and great food. Deffo finna come back again.

I recently ordered a chicken shawarma wrap and came across this large piece of hard plastic while chewing my food, it completely ruined my appetite
Solid cheap shawarma that doesn’t destroy your stomach like osmos or any other option Downtown. Great as a late night spot.

I've been to this location multiple times and it's usually a good late-night spot but tonight the employee seemed like she was daydreaming.
First she asked me which ingredients I wanted on my chicken shawarma wrap to which I replied "just the lettuce and chickpeas" (I also physically pointed to just those two ingredients). Second, she asked if I wanted it spicy or not, to which I replied no.
She promptly put every single ingredient from the pantry into my wrap, then added hot sauce on top.
Getting every single aspect of my order wrong borders between the edge of incompetence and willful malice.
I paid for my order and left because thankfully I am not allergic to any of the ingredients and I am not too picky of an eater. I also did not want the wrap to be thrown away and food to be wasted.
However, I felt that this disappointing experience at least needs to be shared so that these incidents do not reoccur in the future. I don't usually like to make a fuss, and this is my first time ever making the effort to write a negative review. That is how shockingly bad the experience was tonight compared to usual.

I can’t believe this restaurant’s rating is over 4.5. The food is awful, the salads look so dry and the person who works there is so rude.

Awful food
You'll find a classic shawarma shop menu here.
I can't recommend the chicken shawarma, fries, or the hot sauce. The flavours are unmemorable, except the hot sauce, which is shockingly bitter.
Shawarma Q also offers ice cream, but I'm unsure of how often patrons order it as there are much better boutique ice cream shops nearby on Yonge or Ben & Jerry's pints are available at the nearby Shoppers, Rabba and 7-11.
The store can use a cleaning, and the display playing CP24 needs to be replaced.
The staff were friendly.
Vegetarian options: Yes, there are vegetarian options like fries, salad, and falafel.
Parking: There is paid street parking on Bay St. and the surrounding small streets. Some of the neighbouring condos have paid underground parking.
Kid-friendliness: Yes, kids can eat here.
Wheelchair accessibility: The store is no wheelchair accessible.
