A cozy place with an old fashioned diner design. Great service, friendly staff who actually explain and describe the food when you have questions, even if they don’t know the answer they will ask and comeback with an answer.
Burgers were good but I felt it had too much relish. The stuffed wings were great, juicy and tasty.
Karage chicken was moist crispy and flavourful.
Overall it’s a great place to catchup with friends and enjoy some snacks.

Food is not good. Drinks are okay. Space is too small and tight. Brought a group of 7 Sun night May 19th 9pm. One of the female bartenders (young brunette with the child clips in her hair) wasn't accommodating at all. She wouldn't allow my group to split the bill, and when I said that we weren't informed of that at the start, she walked away. When I asked another server to split it, the girl yelled over shoulder that no one was going to split the bill for us. Funny enough the second server allowed us to share the bill, and when the first girl overheard this she walked away again. Powertrip much? You cannot force one member of a group to pay a $300 tab without any courtesy warning.
Also, I asked for a gin and tonic and she had an attitude about how I misunderstood her mention of a syrup as potentially containing sugar mix, even though she didn't specify it was a tonic syrup without any sugar. If it's gin + tonic syrup + club soda then why even bother giving a spiel that you make it differently / in-house? We literally just asked for gin and tonic. If you're going to flex about it at least be clear and don't be prissy over us asking the contents of the syrup.
So many other good bars around here, don't bother going to this one as you may receive a stuck up attitude which is not the vibe for queen west.

I had a terrible first date here, but the employees made my night way better. They made sure I was okay after my date left and gave me a tequila shot with a tea chaser (which was great, by the way) on the house. I've frequented Short Turn and 416 Snackbar before, but I'm definitely going to come here way more often now! :) Drinks and food are great, and employees always go above and beyond!
