Cute little place. Best to have a table in the front. We sat at the chefs table in the back. Bar in the front is lovely to stare at. Cute spot for a date.
The food was incredible. We got the Steamed Black Cod in Laksa with Vermicelli and the Kaya Toast for dessert both to share since we weren't super hungry. Both really hit the spot! One small things: our seats weren't super comfy at the table up the stairs by the kitchen. But all in all a great spot.
The service was amazing. We sat at the bar stools facing the kitchen and really enjoyed the view. It is a tight space which I feel like is part of the vibe so expect to be bumped into a bit. Cocktails were excellent. Food was great. Will be back!
Great small bar. Drinks were great and staff was friendly

Cocktails are always great, yes. Food is always great, yes. Service? Great. But of note: tonight I ordered a coke and not only did it come in a sexy tall glass with a gorgeous little lime wedge perched on top, it came with a BEAUTIFUL PLASTIC STRAW, not a dumb paper straw that lasts 3 minutes, no, a real thicc plastic straw circa 2015, one that had enough diameter and girth for proper beverage enjoyment, and when I tell you that that coke was the best goddamn coke I’ve ever had in my life???? I mean it with my full chest. I love you short turn

Intimate, but lively cocktail bar. Would recommend if you’re looking to grab a few drinks and light bites on queen st W. loved the music selection and admired the interior design with wood finishes contrasting the stainless steel bar. Retro but modernized. The narrowness of the place does give the illusion of being in a train.
A range of cocktails provided. The server was knowledgeable and attentive in helping me decided which one to start with. Offering a different take on your classic cocktail with an infused seashell martini available and many more. I’ve had dinner prior but couldn’t help but notice the food menu. I ordered the chicken liver mousse brioche. It was everything you could want. Sweet and savoury in one dish. I enjoyed it so much I ordered a second. Would recommend paring it with a glass of white.
Came for a cheeky lil cocktail, stayed for the chicken liver mousse brioche. Definitely will be back to try more of the dishes.

Short turn is one of my favorite places on Queen Street, with a chill ambiance, friendly staff and remarkable food and drinks. I appreciate the way it's run and what they offer. Great value for money in their happy hour!
Amazing cocktail bar with great snacks. Staff work hard and are so friendly. Please be aware that the actual location on Google maps is wrong, it’s on the other side of the street! (Westbound side)
Easily one of our favourite cocktail bars in Toronto - great innovative menu and fantastic service. The happy hour offer is an incredible deal too!
