Disappointed to find that it was generic industrial tub ice cream. Taste was even more disappointing.

I don’t know what they’re serving, but it’s not gelato And any Italian you could tell you that. Save your money If you want quality gelato, this place isn’t what it used to be. The demographics of the neighborhood have changed enough that they can get away with it, which is reflected in the comment section.

Our server Emily was lovely. We came in for quick drinks and she was very polite and fast and she was kind to us. We didn’t get food but the wine and beer was nice.

The best Sicilian Side Walk Cafe in Toronto. Gelatinous delicious authentic Italian ice cream 🍦 shop. Won many prestigious awards for their menu. Stop by if you are in the area and treat yourself.

Tried the Stracciatella Gelato during the taste of little Italy and it was fantastic! Line was very long but it went by super quick and the guys serving the gelato were very friendly. Will definitely be back sometime to try more!

Came here during the rush of Taste of Italy and was craving for Italian food given the lack of at the event. Ordered the aracini and the pistachio gelato and the aracini was crispy and packed with tomato sauce - yum. The gelato however, was a huge disappointment. The flavour tasted very artificial and lacked pistachios. The moment I saw the colour (light green) of the gelato, I knew it was going to taste bad. I would avoid at all cost.

It was very busy on a Saturday but our waitress only served three tables and she moved at a snail’s pace. She was never aware of her surroundings and it took her 20 minutes to take our order and another 10 minutes ti give us our bills. All in the meanwhile she was chitchatting with her colleagues. Tall, slim figure with a very long ponytail - didn’t catch her name but she was not good at serving at all.

Extremely disappointed. We waited 30 minutes for just two scoops of gelato. When we politely asked about the delay, the server casually said they ‘lost the order’ — no apology, nothing. Then we had to wait another 15 minutes. Not worth it at all. Won’t be returning.

I would like to share the experience of a close friend at this restaurant, as it has made me reconsider visiting it myself. When one invests time and resources in a place with such a reputation, high standards in service and issue management are naturally expected. Unfortunately, this was not the case.

My friend encountered a problem when paying the bill: the terminal indicated the transaction as “incomplete,” so, following the cashier's suggestion, he used a second card. Later, upon reviewing his bank transactions, he confirmed that both payments had been processed successfully.

The next day, he returned to the restaurant with the intention of resolving the matter in a respectful manner. What truly concerns me as a potential customer is how he was treated: the person who assisted him was dismissive, unwilling to address his case, and refused to check their system to confirm the charges, despite him providing clear evidence from his banking app.

I fully understand that technical problems can occur, even at the finest establishments. However, what is truly disappointing is the lack of attentiveness and professionalism in handling such situations. One expects a restaurant of this caliber to stand out not only for its culinary offerings but also for its impeccable service and ability to manage challenges with grace and empathy.

When we choose places of this level, we do so with the expectation that the experience will be flawless from start to finish. Incidents like this, however, raise doubts and undermine the trust I would be willing to place in such a venue. I sincerely hope that this feedback is taken as an opportunity to strengthen processes and elevate service quality, as those of us who frequent establishments of this category seek precisely that: excellence without exceptions.

I told my friend about this place and they double charged him and did not refunded even when he showed proof, very sad cause I really liked this place. I will not be back anytime soon or might never come back, very very bad CUSTOMER SERVICE.
