Genuinely confused how there is “Chai” in the name of this place, yet have the confidence to sell watered down, lukewarm flavourless “chai.” Environment was awfully humid so not inviting to stay at all. Actually just a completely unacceptable experience.

The food is not edible! Ordered bagel sandwich and the meat tastes like soy sauce! How can you not even heat it up! Served without utensils - had to ask and received attitude after asking for it! Stay away from this place!

Food itself is great however they really start closing their kitchen over 30 minutes before their stated time. Rushed to get here before 430 and specifically to order a Shakshouka but they had already started closing their kitchen already even though they’re supposed to be opened until 5. Was very disappointed and had to order something else instead. Had I known they actually close before 430 I would have gone elsewhere. Feel very duped.

I’ve been passing by Simit & Chai for the longest time and finally decided to give it a try today. The location is convenient and the décor is warm and inviting. The menu looked exciting. Turkish coffee, masala chai, and unique simit options, exactly what I was expecting from this place.

Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. At 10am, with almost no crowd, I stood at the counter for several minutes without so much as a greeting, smile, or acknowledgement. The staff member seemed preoccupied with side tasks, not preparing any orders, and my attempt to say “hello” went unanswered. After five minutes of waiting awkwardly, I left without ordering.

It’s a shame because the concept and offerings are promising, but customer service is the first step in welcoming people to try them. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously, because with friendlier service, this café could live up to its potential.

This is a charming cafe with homely decor, perfect for a quiet and pleasant brunch. The shakshouka was flavorful and satisfying, and the tomato & feta sandwich (with added cucumber and greens) was good, though a bit messy to eat and slightly dry—perhaps true to its style. The Turkish latte was a lovely touch. Overall, a calm and cozy spot to enjoy a leisurely meal.

Vegetarian options: Limited but good vegetarian options

I heard about this place today I visited and really upset.
We are ordered two sandwiches which was no fresh simit was like a wood .
Terrible Sandwich in my life. Everywhere too dirty. We are sitting close to window , table was dirty and with crumbs of food . I took bottle of water (for free) and saw mold on the water lid.

worst experience 😪 funny thing really packed place but I think nobody don't know about really good taste of turkish food.

Bagel was just ok, not worth $$

Decent spot, the 'flat white' coffee was okay (a bit cold). The bagel sanwiches were 3/5 (cheese wasn't melted, just didn't seem well put together - I've had way better. Place is definitely over-priced for what we got. The wifi password is also very long and annoying to type in (not necessary). I would give it a 3/5. Okay food at best, Okay coffee (not even hot), and very overpriced. We paid over $35 for 2 coffees, 1 bagel, and a little biscuit.
