We were a party of 5, 4 ordered dishes of Linguine allo scoglio. The mussels accompanying the dish were bad – as in not edible, they stank. They should never have been put on the plate. One person took a bite of one and spit it out – it tasted horrible. I smelled one and told the waiter it was bad, who replied “its from the sea”. The response was inappropriate, the dish should have been taken back to the kitchen, another dish offered in lieu of, or something to replace the mussels.
The menu describes the dish as having “clams, shrimp, crab meat and calamari” in addition to the mussels. The dishes had one large shrimp, inedible mussels, and if the seafoods described on the menu were in the dish they weren’t visible. It appeared that there was some kind of seafood chopped into little pieces mixed in with some pasta. This was not worth $32.95.
Although we voiced our concerns nothing was done, no apologies, no adjustment to the bill. When paying the bill my sister said the meals were terrible and the waiter just shrugged. Eventually someone came to the table and gave us 10% off the dishes. Not impressed with the food and really unimpressed with the way our poor experience was handled.

Disappointing Experience

I had high hopes, but this visit fell short. The food was mediocre at best and definitely overpriced. To make matters worse, there was a hair in the food. We pointed it out to the server, who apologized and took the dish away. Shockingly, they brought back the same dish and asked where the hair was—clearly just removed in the kitchen!

Thankfully, the manager stepped in, had the dish remade, and compensated us, which we appreciated. However, the overall experience was disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

A very pleasant restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere.
They have a very good menu with variety of options. Everything is pure Italian, so can enjoy the real Italian taste.
Prices are reasonable. Both for the food and drinks.
Staff are very professional, friendly and helpful.
If you crave Italian food and you’re around the area, you can choose this place with confidence.

Was there last night with 6 friends. Felt extremely rushed during our visit. The mains were served while we were still having our starters, and the entire experience — drinks, starters, and mains — was over in just an hour. Place is also very overpriced.

Perfect event space. We had a 3 hour high school reunion in the lower room downstairs on the basement level. Actually it was a great venue for that with a full bar, good quality finger foods, coat rack and washrooms on the same floor.
It’s a nicely furnished space with gorgeous wood tables. The bar staff were very pleasant and had a sense of humor. My friends enjoyed the wine a lot. There was more than enough food.
They let us play our own music.
It made for a great evening.

I recently had a fantastic date night with my girlfriend at Sip Wine Bar, and it exceeded all our expectations. The evening started with a warm welcome and continued with exceptional service that made us feel truly taken care of. The restaurant’s atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a romantic night out.

We enjoyed a wonderful selection of Italian wines that perfectly complemented the authentic Neapolitan pizza we ordered, which was cooked to perfection in their wood-burning oven. The crust was crisp and the flavors were spot-on—exactly what you’d hope for in a traditional pizza. For dessert, the tiramisu made with Baileys was the perfect end to the meal, adding a delicious twist to a classic.

The combination of high-quality food, excellent service, and fair prices made for an unforgettable evening. We’ll definitely be coming back for more!
