Skadarlija Restaurant - Skada Bar

Skadarlija was a vibe to say the least. 5 dollar pints of beer, no music, and bright overhead lighting made for an eerie yet inviting atmosphere. If you want the real parkdale experience, check this place out

I rented Skada bar for a Halloween party. I'll start with the good:

Pros:
1. A good price for a "private" (more on that later) party, though the price that I paid was higher than what was quoted on Giggster. I told the bar manager (Cici) to amend this so hopefully she does.
2. Good ambiance. The pool table is nice, definitely a true dive bar feel. Good space overall for people to congregate. Exactly what you need in a venue.

Cons: (literally all service-related)
1. Cash bar only. They did not inform me of this and then their ATM stopped working mid way through the night. MASSIVE inconvenience to my guests.
2. They did not attempt to stop random people from coming in, and on some occasions tried to convince me to let regulars come in anyway. I had to ask multiple times for this to stop.
3. Inadequately stocked bar. They did not have SODA WATER, and I had to go buy it myself. They were honestly completely unprepared to handle the party in this sense even though I specified how many people would be there.
4. Communication with the bar manager was generally insane. Cici would send long, weird emails and messages. There was a lot of random back and forth. She would call at late hours that didn't work for me. Be prepared for confusion.

In conclusion: You get what you pay for. It's a dive, it's a cheap location, it's fun. It's also terribly managed and you will have to contend with that. Might be a good idea to check on some of the things I've mentioned above before running your event there.

Dive bar with no pretentious attitude required and plus cheap drinks, Saturday Live Band with a bunch of rock music was amazing.

Horrible management. I was trying to book the venue for a birthday and the prices kept changing. The owner asked for my phone number to talk about the details of the event. This was the worst decision ever because once she got my number she called texted and even emailed me everyday. And if I didn’t respond I would get passive aggressive messages. Ultimate stopped the process of booking due to the management.

Not the nicest of bars, the pool table is free and I did enjoy that. But very much a dive bar. Would not go back

Have to try this ! very very delicious chicken and fries , Very cozy place for family and groups, the bartender and the honer are very nice people .
