First the price, the waitress didn’t mention that the soup wasn’t coming with the meat we paid 40$ for only soup and 3 little baby chicken which is insane and the wait for the food a good 40-50’ when he said 15’ the pounded yam was so small we had to ask for another one which took another 20’ the plantain could have been way better and the egusi was way too yellow and the total bill 200$? There’s way better African for that much for way more. Don’t recommend

The food was alright but overpriced, the guy that was working there didn’t even tell us that everything comes separate and mind you we’re not Nigerian we just wanted to try new dish for another country, we got two different soups and each of them was $40 meat not included. The meat was $25 and the pounded yam was also not included. I’ve been to others African store and everything as meat and soup comes together. I’m very disappointed about the price and service would not recommended.

Bad customer service - they service food without proper hygiene - dirty and smelly odour - and don’t care what the customer thinks about complaining

The food is okay, but the price is higher than equivalent places but the quality is similar. I think especially the jollof was quite expensive relative to the portion size. It would be fine if the quality was mindblowing but it just wasn't.

The food is tasty however smaller portion and pricing is on the higher side. I went in to order food to go and it took a long time for someone to come out of the kitchen and take my oder even after I rang the bell.

THEY MUST HAVE HIRED A TERRIBLE CHEF ON 10/10/2025!
HORRIBLE SERVICE AND TASTELESS FOOD.
CALLED TO COMPLAIN AND ONLY GOT A LOUSY SORRY FROM A NONCHALANT EMPLOYEE.
NO SALT OR SEASONING IN THE NOODLES OR SUYA I ORDERED.
WHAT A TOTAL WASTE OF $95 AND TIME. DON’T SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY OR GOOD FOOD!!!!!

First time eating Nigerian food and it did not disappoint! So happy that Skcookks was the place we chose. Food is top notch and the service is fantastic. We ordered the grilled catfish which is made to order ... 45 minutes and well worth the wait. Egusi and pounded yam & eba were absolutely delicious. Thanks for a fabulous meal ... we will definitely be back!!!!
