It's cool and a nice place to have a lovely time

Great rooftop bar; although there’s not much of a view, the ambience more than makes up for it. The food might be a bit on the expensive side, but the flavors are on point and I’d say it’s worth it. I would recommend the Limoncello Salmon Crudo and Skylight Smash.

The hotel itself is an illogical circus, no lobby as you walk in just a tiny "Hotel" sign where you have to take the elevators to the sixth floor where they turned the once grand ballroom of the Marriott Yorkville into a zoo like atmosphere of everything crashing into eachother such a bar haphazardly stuckin the centre with some other messy BS around a fake firepit. The Skylight "thing" was a huge disappointment, like stepping into a dance club first thing in the morning with annoying borderline jazz/dance music pounding you in the head while you try sipping tea or coffee from their ugly mugs, no tea pots, no coffee service just a guy who returns with the big ugly mug a ladle of milk and a teaspoon and plops it down in front of you. This place is just gross and definitely NOT for business travelers.

Great views, food is good and service are excellent. The signature cocktails are memorable - I'd never had a pistachio martini before, highly recommended.

An absolute treasure. Stayed at the W Hotel and although typically I would seek a restaurant off site, something was telling me to go! That something turned out to be right. The service, the food - even our martinis deserving of a '5'. I mentioned to our server that the martini was fabulous and on travels I always like to compare. Then the mixologist showed up at the table as word got back and he shared the vermouth was atypical - darn if I can remember the brand name and it was served in a vintage style coupe glass which was absolutely charming! The beef carpaccio simply yummy and my husband's rack of lamb best he's ever had and my Cornish hen was so moist and had a lovely crispy skin and a very plump one which provided leftovers we used up the next day back at home! The desert a choc cheese cake was most decadent. What a special dinner it was. Thanks to all the restaurant staff it was a perfect experience.

I loved the atmosphere, and the waiter was extremely polite, friendly, and attentive. The food was of good quality, I also liked the drink, though it was a bit pricey.

We enjoyed the Winterlicious dinner selection. Our selection included the Carpaccio, beet salad, octopus, Cornish hen, tarts citron, Euskara cake and cappuccinos. All was delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive. The ambience is chic and just my style.

Very nice and romantic rooftop view in the heart of the city. It has good sharable food, lounge style seating, dj booth with music.

Vegetarian options: Feta hummus, broccolini, salad

Skylight is a nice spot with a great atmosphere, but finding the entrance and the elevator to get there was a bit of a challenge. There’s not much signage, so it took us a while to figure out how to get in.

Once inside, the food was pretty good, and the service wasn’t bad—nothing extraordinary, but nothing to complain about either. It’s a decent experience overall, and the ambiance adds to the charm.

Worth trying at least once.

We are visiting Toronto for a few days from London, England. We had a wonderful experience dining at the roof top. Fabulous view. The cocktails were amazing. Food absolutely delicious with a nice variation on the menu. ( Not large portions if you like your plate piled high but super tasty )
Connie who looked after us was so lovely. She went through the menu and explained each dish. Would recommend.

Atmosphere and drinks were great. Service was ok - but the food wasn’t anything spectacular. We were still enjoying our drinks and chatting but our waitress had already gone ahead and placed the bill on our table, we were anticipating on staying longer and ordering more drinks but we felt rushed as she didn’t ask if we needed anything else. Not happy with the price I paid for the “W” experience. Definitely will not be returning.

Gorgeous restaurant but horrible service and subpar food. Went for brunch on Saturday afternoon, I was surprised to see the place quite empty for a weekend brunch. But after my experience I understand why…

Our server was pushy and did not give us food/drink recommendations or follow through with requests. I ordered the frittata which was thin and flavourless! It came with a very basic salad, leaves tossed in olive oil and balsamic.
Apparently I had a choice between salad and potatoes but our server failed to give us any options.

Underwhelming experience.
Will not be returning.
