The food at Slate was absolutely scrumptious! Every bite was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was inviting and the service was excellent. I’ll definitely be returning again!

Waited 90 minutes for food. Waiter forgot to place order? We were very understanding but gave $11.20 discount !!!- not even the cost of a glass of wine - insulting! Very loud and cold as we were sitting near open window and had to wait a long for food.

Great experience here! We reached out same day with a very last minute request for a large group and they were able to accommodate us same day and even extend their hours for us. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks and love the atmosphere, cute decor!

A little late posting this review but was there in January and ordered pasta. I asked for Parmesan on top and they said they charge for it !! I have never been charged for parmesan in my life. I’d never go back. If a place is too cheap to give you Parmesan - what else are they skimping on? FYI we had two meals, appetizers and alcoholic drinks - it’s not like we weren’t spending money. Bad business decision

Awesome ambiance and food. Had our daughter's wedding reception there in the summer and decided to end the year with a family dinner at the restaurant. Very lovely decor and great Italian cuisine!

We have never been disappointed. Best pasta dishes in the Beach.. And the service is so welcoming and attentive.
We went to The Slate to celebrate Mother's Day, but unfortunately, it was a big disappointment.
I ordered a $40+ sirloin steak, and it was honestly the worst steak I've ever had. It was incredibly dry, tough, and burned around the edges—I felt like I was chewing on shoe leather. It tasted like the cheapest cut of meat, overcooked to the point of being inedible.
My husband ordered some kind of ravioli, and it was a disaster as well. It was so over-seasoned and drowned in salty cheese that he couldn’t even finish it. We definitely won’t be going back.

The best Italian restaurant I've been in downtown Toronto. My girlfriend and I wanted to go on a date night and we had seen this place from outside and just thought to give it a chance and boy oh boy it was worth every penny!! The saffron risotto balls were just out of this place and it was the first time that I had tried it and same was with the margarita pizza and then they hit it out of the park with the lava cake topped with vanilla ice cream . Anybody who wants to have a perfect date night with food to crave for , please come here and on the top of that the lady who was waiting us was the best host . Just loved it !!
