I came because of the good reviews but left disappointed. $16 for oily, soggy, bitter fries with very little gravy that was too salty. I know I can't expect Montreal level poutine here in Toronto but I was expecting better than this.

Ordered a Buffalo boneless poutine and there was no gravy and not one cheese curd. Definitely confused with the quality at this location.

READ EDIT BELOW!!!
So happy this outlet opened here. I was crushed when the location at Dundas and George closed. No other locations were convenient for me. Smokes was my go-to for take out.
So I did a happy dance when I saw the outlet near Pape on Danforth. Well, I smiled anyway. Been going about once every couple weeks since. Always clean, never busy, pleasant staff.

Great addition to a rapidly changing area. Hope it survives the upcoming decade of construction.
2025 EDIT*** sadly the last 3 visits were disappointing. Order wrong once which I didn't discover until home 25 mins away.
Twice counter staff were unpleasant. Another time missing ingredients. All three times the fries were odd texture and taste.
Very sorry this once fave spot is now unappealing to me. Hopefully confined to this outlet and not chain wide.

The food and especially the choice of menu for vegetarian is really good. It tasted fresh and and the fries were crunchy…the only thing I didn’t like is the sitting space but other wise the food, service and taste is really worth but I also found it slightly overpriced for a basic poutine! A little busy and cramped parking spaces but if you go after 8pm there’s some chance of finding a parking space.

Ordered delivery via Uber eats. I honestly thought they would separate the gravy from the fries for a delivery order but I thought wrong. By the time it got here it was soggy. Terribly packed. Ordered the veggie base and...it's bland!

Not a good experience.

Never again! I won't give nasty review but man the owners where kinda weird 👎👎👎. The store was humid and the old guy was like so high. I think he was 1 of the owner. 👎👎👎. Sorry but the poutine wasn't good. Fries was absolutely disgusting. Just 1 guy working as well.

As soon as I opened the box, I couldn’t find any trace of gravy sauce. A proper poutine should have a generous amount of gravy poured over the crispy fries. However, this looked like someone just added a single spoonful of sauce and stirred it all together. The fries were already soggy, and as you can see in the photo, I couldn’t even find any gravy at the bottom of the box. This wasn’t poutine — it was just slightly coated fries pretending to be one. There were no visible signs that gravy had been poured at all.

As for the cheese? There was only a single chunk sitting on top, just like in the photo. Beyond that, I couldn’t find any more cheese, no matter how much I dug through it while eating. What I found underneath was just more under-sauced fries.

And that’s not all. Most of the fries still had the skin on, which gave them a bitter taste. Some fries tasted burnt, almost like the oil was old or the fries were overcooked — I could even smell it through my nose while eating. The oil had an overpowering smell, too. I honestly couldn’t tell where the bitterness was coming from — was it because the potatoes were old? Was it the oil? Was it because the fries were over-fried or the skins weren’t peeled? Or maybe it was all of the above.

Every basic element of a poutine — the gravy, the fries, and the cheese — was terribly disappointing.

A great place for Poutine. Excellent service and good vibes. The oil painter who likes tool went above and beyond with today's 6 star rating! I'll be back for sure! Hopefully I can win that Smoke's guitar they are raffling off at this location.
