Prepare to be inundated with delivery drivers crowding the restaurant waiting for orders. Mac and cheese is horrendous... terrible smelling and the “cheese” is more like a gravy cheese sauce (and not good). Brisket was good but the side slaw looked about 9 days old. Zero atmosphere. Limited bar. Not super expensive but also not cheap. Can't say many good things about this place.
Unfortunately, I’ve tried many BBQ places and this was one of the most disappointing. The food was dry, lacked any real smoky flavour, and tasted like it had been frozen, reheated, and then just covered with BBQ sauce. On top of that, service was very slow—there was only one server who was also bartending and trying to cover everything. We waited far too long. It really makes me wonder why there aren’t more staff available to serve.

Holy… the taste of the bbq was so so good!
Mostly the best in the town, however, it was Saturday evening and just one server was managing the whole floor. I just appreciated that they had A/C in the bbq place!

My friend had a big family reunion last night with over 50 people coming in from all over GTA and beyond to King West. Her 500 sq ft condo wasn’t going to hold everyone, so she booked her beautiful condo party room.
So… what to serve? Well… queue SmoQue N’ Bones. She ordered over $1700 worth of food. And it was supposed to be ready for pick up at 4 pm. They were ready with all the perfectly packed containers by 4:05 pm. They apologized for being late (which of course they were not!) and provided us with lots of accompanying sauces and dips. The food was so tasty! Loved the slider, ribs, corn bread, corn, sweet butter, wings…. Incredible!
I walk by here all the time and haven’t once gone in to try the food. After this experience, I would definitely order from them for a party but also will consider it an option next time we are wondering where to go for dinner.

Super yummy BBQ, tried their sampler for 2 and few other dishes. Staff are great. Passion Fruit crush mocktail was delicious! Price reasonable for BBQ. Great for families too, went there as a family with our 5 and 6 year olds.

As someone with family in Texas. This is a failed attempt at true B.B.Q like I'm familar with. Maybe stick to maple smoked salmon and other maple dominate foods.

SmoQue N' Bones – A Flavorful Gem on Queen St. West
If you're craving bold BBQ flavors and a cozy urban vibe, SmoQue N' Bones hits the mark. Nestled in the heart of Queen St. West, this place serves up a menu that’s rich in smoky, saucy goodness. The food was an absolute delight—from tender meats to creative sides, every bite was packed with personality.
While the service was a bit on the slower side, it didn’t take away from the great experience overall. The relaxed pace actually gave us a chance to soak in the atmosphere and chat over drinks. With a laid-back vibe and unforgettable flavours, it's the kind of spot you’ll want to return to—preferably with an empty stomach and a couple of foodie friends in tow.
Highly recommended for anyone chasing a satisfying BBQ fix in Toronto. 🔥

I never leave reviews, but felt the need to especially with how expensive dining out is these days. When we spend our hard-earned money, we expect good food and service.
I visited Smoque and Bones recently and left disappointed. The food was just okay not great, not terrible, just forgettable. Their ordering system was down, and the server had to handwrite every order while managing a full dining room.
Despite the chaos, the server stayed professional and positive. I think his name was Sirhat. Still, it was clear they were short-staffed, and many customers were frustrated with the long wait times.
To make things worse, at the end of the meal, the server had to manually calculate every item on the bill. It took extra time and created more confusion.
I also noticed some staff speaking in a language other than English in front of guests. While I respect everyone’s right to speak their native language, it came off as unprofessional and inconsiderate in a customer-facing environment especially given the already poor service.
Tech issues happen, but there was no clear backup plan. It’s frustrating for customers.
With so many dining options out there, this experience just wasn’t worth the price.

Absolutely amazing. Got the ribs, brisket, pulled pork with fries, slaw, and brussel sprouts. All hit the spot. My fav was the pulled pork, so tender and juicy. I definitely recommend this place.
