My family visited on Family Day for lunch.It looked like they were understaffed since the host was also our server and bartender. Service was slow, food was lukewarm and quality was below par. We had tacos (no flavour), brisket (grey and tough and not even warm), chicken sandwich (cold) and brisket Mac ‘n Cheese (too runny and brisket tasted oldI looked around and noticed other tables were also not happy. We just wanted to go and asked for our bill and takeout containers. We were still hungry and went out for pizza. It's too bad because the reviews were mostly positive. The ambiance was definitely there. We do want to visit again when it's busy and well staffed (who look like they want to be there).

An amazing hidden gem. I cannot say enough good things about the service and food we had while celebrating valentines day with their Winterlicious menu. My fiance and I had the most wonderful service from Lorne whom was very knowledgeable, thoughtful in his ideas and explanations of every menu item we tried. He insisted on the Mac n Cheese and the cornbread and thank goodness he did! The bbq was delightful and rich in flavour. We cannot wait to go back again! Items Eaten: Pulled Pork Tacos, Chicken Wings, Brisket, Ribs, Mac N Cheese, cornbread and for dessert - Cheesecake and Bread Pudding.

Reservation made Saturday Feb 7 at 6 Pm for 3 for winterlicious and was given a table next to the door which kept opening and it was freezing cold. We asked for another table but was told its full. Unacceptable. Told us if we wanted coffee could walk across the road and get one and bring it back. Seriously. Then charge us the full price for a mediocre menu, with fat laden brisket. Awful !!! Will never go again

My relationship with Smoque N’ Bones is a happy accident because I planned poorly and wore the worst shoes on the coldest day and couldn’t find my coffee shop so I wandered in.
As a vegetarian walking into a BBQ spot, I didn’t have high hopes but I was greeted warmly and served by Pablo who is a gem of a human.
Then there is my bartender Teddy who indulged my odd request for a fresh passion fruit minus the cocktail because it reminded me of home. Not to mention every random drink he placed in front of me with very little direction hit the spot. My new fav might be a Negroni, shaken.
All that and the food was delicious!
I had the truffle mushroom Mac and cheese that was so delicious. I couldn’t finish no matter how hard I try. I also tried the sweet potato waffle fries that were perfection and they were devoured.
And I reluctantly finished with the blueberry cheesecake which I had zero room for yet I couldn’t help but eat every bite as it was light and refreshing and the perfect ending.
Thank you Smoque N’ Bones team for a lovely accident.

We visited as a group of seven. We were informed that an 18% gratuity would be automatically added for parties of seven or more. However, the service did not justify this at all.
The male server brought regular Coke even though Zero Coke was ordered, and it was already opened. We also had to wait a long time for a food container, even after requesting it. Additionally, we had to ask three times before we were given a shopping bag.
At checkout, the server selected the 18% tip himself, which felt very rude and unprofessional. If you expect customers to pay an automatic gratuity, the level of service should reflect that.

We came here for winterlicious and had a great experience. We got the rib tips and wings to start and the brisket, cornbread, and coleslaw for our main. For dessert, we got the cheesecake and the bread pudding, both were absolutely delicious. All of the food was incredible, I can't wait to go back.

Came here as part of a food blog review and got to try a flight of different things from the menu and was so impressed by the carefully curated menu and flavor profile of each item. cannot wait to return!

Awesome hidden gem in toronto. Great atmosphere, our server Lorne was just a good human being. The food was made very well. Plates came out on time. Whiskey was made on point. Had the spare rib tips and pork ribs with coleslaw. Portions were great couldn't finish it. I recommend whole heartedly.

Terrible experience. The brisket I received felt completely unnatural and had the tell-tale signs of processed, 'glued' meat rather than a natural cut. The texture was unappetizing and far from the quality you'd expect at these prices. It’s misleading to sell this as authentic brisket without disclosing that it’s a processed meat product. Truly a waste of money
