This was a great night out with the kids. The pricing is basically a ticket structure..$15 for kids $20 for adults and includes free drinks within reason and a 3+ hour sitting. The food was actually delicious and okay pricing. It was a $100 outing for myself and two kids, having shared two meals. We had fun and hope to visit again in the future.
Parking: There is a green p right next to them, you won't find anything better driving around - it wasn't too badly priced.
Kid-friendliness: They have a lot of games for kids 8 and under as well.

Price jacked up to $20 from $10. Comes with a free drink, but that was steep for me so I wouldn't come back. Convenient ordering system thought the QR code on the table. Of the 3 of us, only 2 of us received our drinks. An hour later my friend still did not receive his drink so we waved someone to help, and he said he would check the kitchen and get his drink for him. Another 30m pass he doesn't come back to our table, just walks by us and serves other people. I paid on my phone but my other 2 friends just wanted to pay up front, the lady at the bar dismissed them and said to use the phone so she could continue her bad work. After they were struggling on their phones for a bit she eventually let them pay at the front. It was disturbingly loud during trivia night. The hot chocolate was decent but very little amount. Overall with the total of $81 we all paid, would not come back. Would rather buy a few board games with that and hangout at home where it's cozier.

$20 per person now for entry but $10 if you buy alcohol so here’s your life hack:
- Their Irish coffee is $12 and it’s basically a shot of whiskey in a coffee
- Pick a free coffee like a latte, buy a $7 shot of whiskey. Pour the whiskey into the coffee.
- Now you’ve paid $17 per person which is basically one cocktail + $5
if you don’t like alcohol - still order a shot ($7) and don’t drink it. You’ll get $10 off for spending only $7. I don’t know why things are the way they are but they are.
3 hours sitting limit so if you wanted to come here to do homework it’s fairly cheap. $17 + 13% tax + 15% tip = $22. $7/hour. A Starbucks per hour except you have an endless supply of drinks.
I feel horrible for the staff who have to run hundreds of free coffees now (since your bill, and therefore their tip, isn’t increasing with each trip they make upstairs). People are likely to order far more coffee, hot chocolate, pop, and the one mocktail on the menu, than they usually do just to “get their money’s worth”.
I used to buy 2-4 spiked hot chocolates when I visited which is $24-48 but now I can just add my own liquor to a free hot chocolate and get the 2-4 for $14-28
The fries are ASS. Do not get them. They are wilted and greasy and thin so they become cold on the table within 10 minutes.
Kid-friendliness: You could bring kids here but for $20 per person? That’s wild. The games here are also complex so they aren’t very good for children. Go thrifting and buy some games for your kids to keep at home.

The payment and service structure they recently implemented is absolutely terrible.
We decided to go to S&L for evening team activity. Even though no spot was available to reserve online, we called and found out they weren’t busy at and lots of tables were available when we walked in. It has 2 floors, a bar and of course huge collection pf board hames. The place looks little bit old and rusty. The games are pretty bad shape, must have worn off after many years of usage. For $20 admission per player, non alcoholic drinks are free.
The menu is online. We got some salad and sandwiches. Food was okay. Nacho was average. Grilled cheese had good cheese, toasted bread tasted good it. Service is also decent, friendly staff. Overall a good place to spend fun time with friends.
Vegetarian options: Salads and veggie burgers available
Parking: I only saw parking lots and garages nearby, didn’t see any street parking.

Really like the place, the staff, and the atmosphere previously. But the new changes are terrible. The $20 entrance fee is high, and the new drink policy is very easily abused to get a cheaper bill and waste tons of resources. The online pay system has bugs and doesn't work, and won't include the alcohol discount. The lack of wait staff is frustrating and takes away from the atmosphere, and the new system is exploitive of the staff. It took me and my friends about 3 minutes to figure out how to abuse the system and decide we're gonna be going to a different board game cafe if this is how it's going to be.
The place is great for people who wants to hang out with friends and family. A place where you can eat, drink, and enjoy tabletop games. Highly recommended

Ruining a perfectly working concept. 20$ per person just to play!!! Ridiculous. You can buy the games you are able to play for that admission fee. We had with food and some beers a 200$ bill for 4 people what a joke. I can go to a yorkdale restaurant for that price. Will never come back thank you for ruining this place.

I loved going to snakes and lattes in the past, but the new changes dont make sense.
They doubled their entry fee, which is ridiculous. $20??!!
Unlimited drinks were added, but my drinks took so long as there were so many drink orders from other customers taking advantage of this.
The staff were incredibly attentive, but they only had a limited capacity to make espresso-based drinks with equipment available.
While its nice to have unlimited drinks, I would rather stay home than pay $20 for the entrance fee.
Other customers were being incredibly wasteful as well. They would just order a bunch of drinks, just to leave them on the table unfinished.

Great spot to hang out, get some bites and play board games. Good selection of hot and cold drinks as well as alcoholic beverages. Service was curt but friendly. Decent selection of board games. There were a few classics that are missing from their collection, but there is still plenty to enjoy.

Loved the old system but double the price out of nowhere doesn't make any sense! Servers are great and no idea why it all has to be through an app. Would be 5 star the way it used to be, its that much worse...

The prices were exorbitant—each game cost us $10 per person, playing uno (literal we are 6, we pay 60 for playing uno. I ordered the nachos expecting a decent snack, but they were the worst I've ever had. They barely had any beans or cheese, just a pile of dry tortilla chips. It was extremely disappointing. To make matters worse, the service was awful, yet they still charged an 18% tip for it. This is definitely a place I won't be returning to.
My son and I had lots of fun today. I livr nearby and our family loves going to Snakes and Lattes.
