Can’t wait to go back! So nice to feel so safe with allergies- so many gluten free, and vegan options. Customer service was amazing, they went out of their way to ensure the experience was a great one. Not to mention how good all the food was

First time visiting and won’t be the last. Chef Ishan and his team really go out of their way to make you feel special and comfortable. Cozy atmosphere and a flexible menu for vegetarians and vegans.
Will return to try more things on the menu and will bring our friends next time. Definitely try the slow cooked carrot and saffron dessert. Light, creamy, crunchy and memorable. 🤩
Thanks Chefs!

This was such an experience! We stopped mid conversation so many times to appreciate the delicious flavors and combinations found in our meal. We ordered the Mediterranean plate, truffle gnocchi and paneer curry. The food tastes of the thoughtful care and culinary creativity by the chefs. It was nourishing, so filling. The carrot mousse was next level- sugar free?! Yes please. Will be back again.

It's a cute spot tucked in between stores, but certainly delivers more than what you'd expect to find there! We were greeted by chef Prathamesh, who was very warm, welcoming and certainly helped elevate the entire experience! I've never seen chefs do this, so we were pleasantly happy and surprised!
We ordered the super seed haloumi, truffle fries and the penne arabiatta! All the dishes were amazingly prepared, well explained (which the chefs would do to help you understand their thought process behind the order, ingredients and intent in choosing them) and generously portioned.
The fries had a generous amount of cheese, sauce and flavor in every bite. The super seed haloumi, which was coated with pomegranate yogurt, was a hit !
The pasta, made with red lentils, was very coated and absorbed by the sauce that we were amazed and very full!
All in all, certainly a great restaurant to keep coming back to! For more vegan and vegetarian options indeed. :)

Delicious food, lovely service, and so many veggie and plant-based options! The Indian food is fantastic, and the veggie burgers are a real treat. The chef is happy to chat about his creations. Great for take-out!

I decided to go for lunch to Social Llama on a whim. I didn't plan, or see the menu beforehand, or read reviews. You can't miss this small place with their vibrant aqua exterior. It's a small place, but cozy inside.
The service was excellent and attentive. Music was a bit loud, but they promptly turned it down when I asked. Everything here is handmade. The chef even approached my table, and asked us about the food,. He even said, he can make anything I want, and put it on his weekly menu, as long as I give him enough time. This is a neighborhood spot by definition.
The food was incredible. It's a vegetarian place, and it has burgers, pastas, and even butter paneer. I ordered the butter paneer, and it's one of the best, if not THE BEST butter paneer I've ever had. Homemade taste. It is a bit pricey, but worth it.
Also the plates and cutleries are use and throw recyclables. But it is a small place without any space for dishwashing. Understandable.
Highly highly recommend this place.

Part of me does not even want to review this restaurant because I fear it will be too busy and I won't get to enjoy it.
Between the exceptional service, the clear love and passion of the food, THE FOOD, the atmosphere. This was such a perfect gem!! I would not change a thing. This has become my new favourite place. I dont live close (I was in the area) but will absolutely return.

As a globe trotter, this place weirdly made me feel like home. It isn’t just the menu that did have a lot of nostalgia, but also the calm ambience & atmosphere along with the familiar and exceptional service that the team is striving to deliver.
Tried the cauliflower bite (on the house), the llama burger, the tacos, the litti chokha (absolute favourite & authentic) , the dahi puri, the tiramisu latte, the rose lassi and the gulab jamun sundae( if you know you know), yeah we ate a lot and all flavours hit the spot.
The only request as a meat eater I would have for the chef is to somehow make the vegan ingredients a bit more juicy if possible.

Social Llama Café is such a hidden vegan gem in Toronto! The vibe is cozy yet vibrant, making it the perfect spot to hang out with friends or enjoy a slow afternoon. Their menu is full of unique surprises, but the real show-stoppers for me were the Tiramisu Latte, Hot Gulab Jamun with Ice Cream, and Litti Chokha.
I love that it brought back some childhood memories. I saw in the comments that some people are complaining about this place using biodegradable cutlery and plates. My note to you- Isn’t it good that they are using biodegradable materials to save our environment? People are so used to unhealthy and unsustainable ways of living that they cannot comprehend when some restaurant tries to do nice things for the world. Very happy that thus restaurant takes that seriously.
On top of the great food, the staff were welcoming and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend Social Llama Café if you’re looking for something beyond the usual café fare – they truly deliver on flavor and experience!
