Perfect bougie cafe. Would highly recommend the orangesso (orange juice + espresso over ice) and the cheeky eggs benny.

When is this place even open? I’ve been by 3 times during the times it says they would be open and it’s always closed.

Great brunch place. Very limited seating so plan ahead and be prepared to wait. But it’s worth the wait as all their egg dishes are amazing! And special shoutout out to their matcha strawberry pancakes

Surely I can say I'm obsessed with pancakes, and you would be too after laying your lips on these Banoffee Pancakes. Addictive not only for the banana toffee flavour, but the fragrance of the roasted espresso mascarpone that brings a distinct creaminess, subtle sweetness and a perfumed coffee taste in each bite too. The hibiscus elderberry jelly counteracts the richness with a bright acidity and tartness, while the pecans add a slight crunch. The beef cheek is almost as tender as the perfectly poached eggs on top, braised in a surprisingly familiar asian-style liquid that's elevated with a helping of their smoky Dijon hollandaise sauce. It seasons each bite with a bit of tang and smokiness, and the sourdough underneath acts as a sponge to soak up all the juices. For balance, a salad with a Chinese-inspired black vinaigrette.

I like the vibe of the place but I tried their peanut butter chocolate pancakes and the chocolate on the bottom were burnt and the pancakes were a little cold. I had to pick them out one by one, none of them were salvageable. The pancakes themselves were hard too cause of the burnt bottom. I tried but they weren’t really edible with all the burnt bits. I also waited for these pancakes for almost 30 minutes. And when I told the chef he didn’t really seem to care. But the lady at the front took everything off my bill so I didn’t have to pay and she was very nice so there’s that. I still think it’s a unique concept, I just don’t know if I’d be back

Came here for brunch as I see it often being packed while coming out of Landsdowne station and the mushroom Benedict was superb while the omelette was a bit disappointing as it was too salty. Overall the food is good but their dining table layout isn’t ideal with a few tables close to the door which can be super cold in the winter. I get that they want a big counter for walking in patrons for coffee but if anything can be improved it would be to make that area smaller so it’s better for fitting seated patrons.

I visited the restaurant today for brunch and had the pleasure of trying their eggs benedict with beef cheeks, which was truly exceptional. The beef was tender and flavorful, and I also enjoyed a refreshing matcha with strawberry – all served promptly and perfectly prepared.

I had a fantastic experience at Solkatt CafƩ! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a bright and welcoming interior with a modern, minimalist design. The clean lines and open space made it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy some great food and coffee.

I ordered the Cheeky Benedikt eggs, which came with melt-in-your-mouth beef cheek, all beautifully presented on fresh sourdough bread. The eggs were perfectly poached, and the sauce had just the right balance of richness and flavor. The accompanying fresh greens added a nice touch of freshness to the plate.

As for drinks, I opted for the Aerocano coffee, which was deliciously smooth with a subtle crema on top. It complemented my meal perfectly, and I can see why it’s a popular choice here.

The staff were super friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe of the cafƩ was laid-back and perfect for catching up with friends or just enjoying some quiet time.

If you’re looking for a cool spot with great food, excellent coffee, and a charming atmosphere, Solkatt CafĆ© is a must-visit in Toronto. I’ll definitely be coming back!
