Great value and flavours for the tasting menu. Was able to accomodate a large group well.
Food and service was phenomenal!!!
Soos is a fantastic Malaysian restaurant with delicious drinks and even better bites. There isn’t a ton of great Malaysian food in Toronto, but Soos definitely checks that box. The only downside is the pricing some dishes that are traditionally inexpensive come at a premium here. That said, you’re paying for phenomenal service and a beautiful atmosphere right in the heart of Ossington. I’d hands down recommend Soos for a delicious, memorable meal.
The food and the service was incredible. I absolutely love the place and definitely recommend to anyone that wants to try.
Every single thing on the menu will be the best thing you ever tasted. Notable mentions: Tacos, Dahl, tiramisu and the mango tofu.
I can't recommend this place enough. Everything we had here was top notch.
I would recommend the Kapitan tacos, Satay babi, Char kway teow and the Pisang goreng for dessert.
Try the Smoke Jumper if you're in the mood for cocktails
Amazingly good food. Everything was delicious!
My experience at SOOS was stellar. The food was a definite standout. My friend and I did the tasting menu and it was a great balance of flavours and a TON of food! The 20 ingredient salad was the dish of the night! If you are vegetarian, I highly recommend this spot! Music and vibe was perfect all night. A definite must see!
Had a chance to finally return to Soos many years later to see the revamp. First time I visited was well over 5 years ago I believe, when it was all vegan. It’s nice they’ve still the vegan as a separate menu option, I had end up getting a special which was a rendang beef slider. Perhaps it was my own mistake by not sticking to the true vegan nature of the resto because man was it a salty bite. The cocktail was curious, made of plum liquer and salted plum; neither apparent flavours, was just overly sweet? Soos missed the mark this time which is a shame as it was such an incredible bite I had way back when the walls were red and the one wall had a mirror lining the seats.
We were really excited to finally try this spot, especially with all the buzz around their famous noodle dish. The flavours definitely lived up to the hype — rich, layered, and really enjoyable. Unfortunately, the portion left us wanting more, with just three shrimp and a small serving of noodles that didn’t feel satisfying. We also tried the tacos, but they didn’t quite hit the mark and wouldn’t be something we’d recommend. For the price, ordering off the menu felt steep for what you actually got. Sounds like the feed me option would be the move instead of menu ordering. Service was also underwhelming. While the flavours were a highlight, the experience just didn’t live up to the excitement we had going in.

Soos has been on my radar for a bit. Needless to say, we finally had the chance to try it, and it didn't disappoint. Service was on point. They offer both a vegan and classic menu. We opted for the classic menu. We had 6 dishes altogether. Appetizers were tacos. The starters were a special they offered that was shrimp, and a prosperity slaw was excellent. Entrees were braised short rib and a noodle dish that finished off this experience. Great place with a nice vibe and the food i would recommend to my family and friends. We'll pop in soon, im sure. If you're in the ossington area at any point, you may want to check this place out. You'll be happy you did!

It’s always a great experience at Soos. As a gluten free vegan, the Fat Choi menu is amazing. You still get all of the favours and all of the fun of their signature dishes. People are great, drinks are great and I always leave full and happy. Highly recommend!
I came on a Friday night and the restaurant was busy. They specialize in Malaysian food, and they did not disappoint! As someone who doesn’t usually eat Malaysian cuisine, this was a great introduction.
The server was super friendly and shared their favorite dishes from the menu, which really helped shape the night.
My highlights were definitely the Dhal & Roti—the roti was crispy, and the lentils were warm and homey. I also liked the Char Kway Teow. It reminded me of beef chow fun but with a smokier, slightly sweeter flavor.
The standout, though, was dessert! I was already stuffed but couldn’t resist trying the sago sago. Absolutely delicious—and was demolished. It wasn’t too sweet and struck the perfect balance of being satisfying without feeling too decadent.
Definitely worth coming back in the future!
I now have a new Indonesian/malay hit the leader boards. The litmus test for this kind of food for me is how good and smoky the chaw kwei teow is - and it delivered. My only criticism would be that the noodles were too broken and slightly overcooked.
Beef rendang seemed pretty authentic and I liked the sago ball dessert. Overall vibe of the place was pretty modern, and the service was good.
Amazing service. Friendly, fast, delicious!
