Really enjoyed this hot pot place! 🥘 They have a great selection of seafood, everything was fresh and well-prepared. The soup base was flavorful, and the drinks were refreshing. Loved that they offered free ice cream after the meal too!

I absolutely love this concept! It allows you to be in full control of your portions, which was beneficial since my group was planning on partying right after our meal. Although the restaurant always has a line (we waited 1.5h with 14 groups ahead of us, we were a party of 5), the service inside was great and not too slow. There are a ton of broth options to choose from; I had difficulty selecting mine, but I ended up choosing the Shacha base. All of my friends were satisfied with their broth choices as well, and overall, we had an amazing time selecting our ingredients and enjoying our food. The sauce bar is also great, and the ice cream at the end is tasty! I am definitely going to return to try out their other broths and hot pot ingredients.
EDIT: I visited on July 15, and they made me wait quite a while, then proceeded to hand me someone else’s order. They completely mixed ours up and I had to pick my ingredients for a second time, almost an hour into waiting. This was very unprofessional of them, however, they said they would give me the second bowl for free, so I loaded it up to the BRIM. I hope this was an isolated incident and I just got unlucky.

Such a great spot for hotpot! The broths are super flavourful, ingredients fresh, and service really friendly. Loved how clean and cozy the place feels, and the sauce bar is a bonus. Perfect for a chill night out with friends — definitely coming back! 🍲🔥

Treats you like shit if you eat alone because you take up two seats even if you come at non peak hours, water tastes stale, broth and ingredient quality has dropped since the first time I came last year. Won’t be coming back the waiter pissed me off enough to leave a review 🎉

The place always has an extremely long line, so I tried today. Two star for fresh and wide range of ingredients to choose from. Everything else was horrible. I had mala spicy and pickles veg soup, they all tasted like they came from a packet. You can’t call a soup mala spicy by only floating some laoganma above it. The soup was so tasteless, and everything in it was like boiled in salt water. And this ‘super fancy instant noodles’ cost me $30 per person without feeling full. There’re definitely several better options within 5min of walk.

I’ve dined here twice now and Souper Hot Pot does not disappoint! My group and I have tried different broths and they’ve all been delicious. The ingredients are fresh, cooked perfectly and the sauce station is great. You get a complimentary soft serve ice cream at the end of your meal that my partner and sister rave about (I don’t eat dairy). Only thing that would make this experience better is if we could reserve in advance as the space is tight and the wait is long. Highly recommend!

Honestly I don't get the hype, it's good fresh food but the flaw is that they cook everything together so if your ingredient has different cooking time you'll get over cooked food. The price is good if you don't eat a lot as it's by weight but else it's more worth it at traditional restaurants

Came to try the malatang here and was impressed by some of the seafood options they have including mantis shrimp and small razor clams.
My rating is specifically for the dry mix malatang flavour which I found to taste predominantly of sesame paste with some chili oil which was just drizzled over the boiled ingredients. It was kinda imbalanced and needed doctoring up. I think their actual soup bases are probably better.
The space is nice and service is attentive. The pricing is standard at $3.99 per 100g.
I live around 5 minutes from the restaurant and I think I've been more than 10 times. It's by far the best fast serve hotpot restaurant in the area

Absolutely loved my experience at this hot pot restaurant! I’m a huge hot pot fan, and this place did not disappoint. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just the way I like it.
You get to pick your meat, veggies, and soup base, and everything comes together for an amazing, customizable dining experience. The broth was rich, and the ingredients were super fresh — you can really taste the quality.
Highlights:
• 🍲 Delicious and authentic hot pot experience
• 🥩 Fresh meat and veggie selections
• 🌶️ Multiple flavorful soup bases to choose from
• 🚗 Located downtown (no street parking, but plenty of spots nearby)
• 👨👩👧 Great for groups and cozy dinners alike
August 2025: 4.5/5.0 rounded up. Great experience overall! There are lots of seafood and meat options, but the vegetable assortment was lacking compared to other malatang places. It's $3.99 per 100g of toppings (no extra charge for soup base). We ordered the #2 Bone Broth and the #4 Tomato Broth, which were both tasty and not salty. You also get free mini ice cream cone after your meal!
One comment is that it might not vegetarian friendly because of cross contamination via the tongs. The seafood and meat selection is first, followed by vegetables, and people use the same pair of tongs to grab everything. For a non-vegetarian it wouldn't matter since everything's cooked together, but just something to consider if that makes you uncomfortable– with that said, there are 5 vegetarian-friendly soup bases available!
