Resident of 33 Mill st here. at around 9-10pm last night I had to close our windows because a heavy buzzing bass vibration was coming from down the street and it was impossible to focus. at 12:30am I went to walk my dog and discovered that the vibrating buzzing sound was coming from the rattling glass windows of Spirit House (the noise could be heard the entire way down the block as we are on the fourth floor close to parliament street. I passed by the venue and asked one of your staff outside to lower the bass as at this point it was breaking a city bylaw. At 2:10am the rattling glass because of the music and the heavy bass inside your venue was still keeping my partner awake. Please consider that you are not on this block alone and that you are in a residential neighbourhood with thousands of other human beings trying to sleep at 2am. The lack of consideration from your staff who should have known better was astonishing.

Worst food and drink I ever had! The website shows a different menu and the waitress said it‘s not them. But if you check the instagram linked on the website it is exactly that restaurant. You pay a lot for small plates of food and I didn‘t like the taste.

We did a cocktail workshop at Spirthouse this past weekend for my husband’s 40th birthday. Organizing the event with Joe was very easy and efficient! On the day of the event, our party of 10 had a fantastic time!! Our bartender (Liam) we so knowledgeable and funny!! He did a great job explaining/showing and engaging everyone! The space/ambiance was perfect for the workshop and extremely well set up! Overall a 10/10 experience and a fantastic was to start off our overall night!!

Went here after a long day, very well put together and amazing interior. Got a couple of beers while I charged my phone! One of the bartenders gave me one on the house after I told him about this 6 hour bike ride I went on that day!
These are the kind of places that are going to keep locals in and help led the Canadian Tourism/hospitality industry out of the trade war were in. Amazing place and fantastic service.

Atmosphere is nice, but we got sat and ordered some cocktails and then waited 30 minutes before we finally gave up and left. Maybe short staffed or something, but our server never even came by to check on us
Avoid their summerlicious. I have been coming here for years for drinks and oysters, but this was the first time I came for a coursed dinner. Our mains came before our starters, one of the three oysters was rancid and the steak was a cold brick (the butter on top was just a semi solid mush and never melted, that level of cold :( ). My partner also mentioned the fish, while perfectly cooked, had no seasoning. I emailed the restaurant about the experience but had never heard back. They replaced the one oyster but shortly after that there was a broken glass situation in the isle with the servers so we didn't want to add a third issue after already complaining about the oyster. We unfortunately left very dissapointed and was saddened to see they did not care to respond to the email either.
