I would give a zero star if I can. This is one of our worst experience at a bar in Downtown. We literally grabbed 4 drinks (spent a lot on them) didn’t ask for anything else from the owner. He got upset at us in front of other customers that we “NEED” to tip him and his kitchen staff although we never ordered any food. He was really rude and demanded a tip. Tips are optional based on services and how much tips are given is up to the customers. Not the owners. We will never be coming back here again. And will tell others not to as well. This owner needs to learn how to say things politely rather than blowing up in front of others and giving disrespectful looks as well.

If you come to squirlys when Hannah the short one with short hair is working, you may as well leave because she’ll make your evening worse by being there. It is unfortunate she ruins the atmosphere of this place on her own as the food and back patio are otherwise quite enjoyable. Everyone else is nice!

burgers are amazing. service is decent. the bartender just threw a serving tray at my throat like she was Kill Bill but the beers and food are reasonably priced so its fine.Highly recommend.

I haven't been here in a long time but the BBQ and honey (I think) mixture sauced wings are SO GOOD. The wings are a good size and they're not fried/baked too long so it's not dry.I also tried the jerk flavor but there's too much vinegar (as someone who's from the island) that jerk flavor wasn't for me.The staff is very pleasant. We had the same human all 3 visits, very attentive (✿^‿^)... The atmosphere is great, although a bit dark. The washrooms are CLEEEAANNN!

The little bartender is actually amazing at her job despite her terrible attitude and taste.
Love this place. Mostly because of the atmosphere. Been many times. It's a really laid-back place. The dress is casual, but if you were dressed up, say in a suit or coctail dress, you would feel comfortable. It's warm and cozy. Love the retro decor. Love the music they play, Alternative Rock. If you can't do stairs, it's not a good option for a place to go for any length of time. As the washrooms are located on the lower level, not wheelchair friendly. They have a small patio in the back. It's suitable for small groups. I prefer the bar area. I have eaten there on a few occasions, but prefer to just go for drinks. The food I have had is great, though. I definitely recommend it for a relaxed but still rockin evening out.

Squirlys is an amazing hidden gem in Toronto that offers fantastic value for budget-conscious diners. You can enjoy both a drink and dinner there for under $25. During our visit, we had their nachos and quesadillas, and we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes. Without a doubt, we will visit Squirlys again.
