I visited this place about eight years ago and remember it being quite good. Today my friends and I came back for brunch, and I have to say — they still make pretty good bennies and waffles! The portions are generous, and it’s been seven hours and I’m still full.

Tried Starving Artist for the first time based on a recommendation. Unfortunately, it wasn’t for us, we couldn’t finish the food. The dessert was okay, but let’s just say we left starving… overall not a great impression.

I ordered here by walk in, it was my first time ordering anything here I came by recommendation and my impression wasn’t stellar. I felt neglected as a customer who waited patiently for 20mins for my food to then walk to work only to find out I was made an incomplete order. Then having to walk all the way back, receive the missing items with the same food not even warmed again. When I walked back to work for the final time the meal was already cold, No extra effort was made to rectify the inconvenience which made the experience sour. I’ll see about giving this place a second chance maybe after I get over the feeling of being a bit cheated as the food wasn’t cheap and didn’t have much of the sweet and salty flavours bacon and French toast with peanut butter should have. Overall missed the mark for me.

I needed a place to sit and stay while working on my interview questions. The lady who was serving was so kind to me. She let me move around the restaurant to figure out what was a quiet place for me to sit and was even managing the other customers around me! It’s a great place and the service is top notch I must say!!! Had a cappuccino and that was great too 🥰 you honestly don’t find such places in Toronto anymore

Hole in the wall with amazing food. Biscoff Latte was one of the best things I had in Toronto!

Ordered gluten free Benedict waffles. These waffles have banana in them. If you like your eggs Benedict with banana flavour in the waffles, have at it. We couldn’t eat this, so lost $50.

There were a variety of options on the menu and all sounded so good! It was a nice place where my friends and I were able to sit and enjoy brunch and catch up after a long time. The food was good and quite filling. Looking forward to coming here again and trying other starving artist locations!

A solid choice for brunch- especially if you’re out later in the day (most brunch places close earlier). Too bad they don’t have outdoor seating this year.

Best brunch in the city!! Love their waffles and potato waffles, good portions that come with 2 sides. They also do good tacos in the afternoons. It is always consistent and amazing, highly recommend!

The food is amazing, the staff is very attentive. It got a bit noisy because we had a group of 21 women but we really enjoyed it and will come back again
