I needed a place to sit and stay while working on my interview questions. The lady who was serving was so kind to me. She let me move around the restaurant to figure out what was a quiet place for me to sit and was even managing the other customers around me! It’s a great place and the service is top notch I must say!!! Had a cappuccino and that was great too 🥰 you honestly don’t find such places in Toronto anymore

The potato waffles are a game changer. My life hasn’t been the same since I had my first BBenny

Hole in the wall with amazing food. Biscoff Latte was one of the best things I had in Toronto!

Ordered gluten free Benedict waffles. These waffles have banana in them. If you like your eggs Benedict with banana flavour in the waffles, have at it. We couldn’t eat this, so lost $50.

There were a variety of options on the menu and all sounded so good! It was a nice place where my friends and I were able to sit and enjoy brunch and catch up after a long time. The food was good and quite filling. Looking forward to coming here again and trying other starving artist locations!

A solid choice for brunch- especially if you’re out later in the day (most brunch places close earlier). Too bad they don’t have outdoor seating this year.

Best brunch in the city!! Love their waffles and potato waffles, good portions that come with 2 sides. They also do good tacos in the afternoons. It is always consistent and amazing, highly recommend!
The food is amazing, the staff is very attentive. It got a bit noisy because we had a group of 21 women but we really enjoyed it and will come back again

Interesting and tasty menu
Liked the food and ambience
We visited The Starving Artist in Toronto for breakfast and were thoroughly impressed. We tried their breakfast waffles and omelets—both were beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The taste was rich, comforting, and satisfying, just what you’d hope for in a brunch spot. The pricing was fair for the quality and portion size. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed morning meal. A special mention to our server, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and made our experience even better. Definitely a place we’d love to return to!
If you like waffles - this place is foor you. 👌🏻
I order from Starving Artist via Uber a lot, so I was surprised to have such a disappointing experience this afternoon.
Firstly, the wait was too long given that there were only 3-4 tables seating two people each. On each occasion my server came, she forgot our cutlery, even after our food arrived. That prompted me to have to ask for it, to which her response was anything but apologetic, as if I was the one inconveniencing her. On top of that, the poached eggs I ordered were cooked right through. By that time I was starving (no pun intended) so I decided to take the loss and eat my breakfast as is.
I offered this feedback to give to the cook, and rather than offer to make it right or take the eggs off my bill, they continued to charge me for them, which by the way, came to $4 per overcooked poached egg. You'd think paying for a carton worth of eggs would get them properly cooked. Nope.
Shaking my head right now at the lack of conscientiousness for me as a customer. Not sure about the other Starving Artist locations, but definitely not eating here in person again.
