Everything you'd want in a plant based diner. Lots of classics along with some new twists on delicious! You have to give this a try.
Myself and three friends enjoyed a delicious lunch here. Everything sounded so good so we shared an app, salad, and sandwich. Everything was tasty.
Was really excited to come here after trying one of their sandwiches at VegTO fest, and was not disappointed! Everything we had was a winner, my top picks are the lasagna and olive oil cake. I tried the “salmon” dish and was mindblown at how realistic it was! I’d been following NewSchool Foods (the supplier of the salmon cut) for a while and was sooo happy to finally see it available. It was fun to try once but it was so realistic it actually spooked me a bit. If you don’t know about New School I highly recommend giving them a look, they use really interesting tech to create their product. Stefano’s seems very connected to the vegan community which is another huge plus. Their deli cuts are from Nonno’s in Hamilton, who are also amazing.
Pretty small portions for the price, definitely need more than one thing to fill you as a meal. Best thing I tried was the french toast. Would come back again for that. Would not get the fried chicken sandwich again, very dry. Breakfast sandwich was meh. Chocolate milk not good but was also served it room temp so probably better cold. Brussels were good. Clean place, nice big windows with lots of sun. FYI when they offer “sparkling or still” when you sit down - thats $9. But thankfully the server was nice to take the charge off the bill because we didn’t know that.
Great staff / great food and nice portions! I will definitely be going back Lasagna was amazing as was the garlic knots and mozzarella sticks . Also the salmon dish and olive cake
Loved the eggs benny I got, perfect home fries and the nonno’s ham was delicious

Went there today for Brunch with lowered expectations (based on my experiences at Gia) but I was pleasantly surprised at how many choices turned into good ones I'll be returning for. Stefano's Diner came from Stefano's Sandwiches and now that they use Nonno's Meats, they can offer more Sandwich options outside of what they have. Their Breakfast Sandwich was good (after I asked for a slice of cheese and had them remove the arugula chili mayo and avocado). Their Eggs Benny was so-so, needing more tang in their Hollandaise Sauce. The Italian Sub had good meat (From Nonno's Deli but honestly, drive to Hamilton and go directly to their store for more sub choices) needing to be adjusted to the toppings I like. The Smash Burger was the best burger I've had (just ask for no caramelized onions and no Russian Dressing). Just amazing! Come back just for this. The Crispy Maitake Mushroom Sandwich was mushy and tasted bland. A "Featured Special" that just wasn't. The Mac and Cheese (without Breadcrumbs and Chives) was nice. It reminded me of Mathilda's from years ago when it was made so well. Their Dessert Menu had Gia's Olive Oil cake. I avoided that like the plague. A very nice expansion that I hope will also expand their sandwich and deli options with Nonno's meats. The staff were wonderful. I am coming back here.
We enjoyed two sandwiches and fries. All the food looked incredible and we can’t wait to slowly try everything. Very friendly staff, beautiful spot and delicious comfort food. So happy we got to try this new vegan gem. Can’t wait to come back!
Lovely restaurant with thoughtful attention to details across the board. It opened just a few weeks ago and everything was perfect. The menu is extensive and our choices were delicious. We ordered takeout at the restaurant but plan to return repeatedly to eat in. Fans of Gia will be thrilled.

We feasted at Stefano's! Garlic knots, Eggs Benedict, and Italian Sub were all fantastic! Fried potatoes were extra crispy and delicious, and the mimosas were especially tasty, both the traditional and blood orange. The vegan meats on the sandwich were phenomenal, can't say I've had three types on a sandwich before that were all unique and excellent. The staff was super friendly, music was great, and the aesthetic of the place was charming. We just totally pigged out and had an awesome time. We're not from Toronto so will be missing this place hard until our next visit.
Came here for a late brunch. We got the garlic knots, eggs benedict, and an Italian sub. Everything was amazing! The ham they use on the sandwich and on the eggs benedict was super flavorful. I also had a mimosa and my partner had a local beer. It’s great that they do brunch until 4pm and had so many things on the menu we’d definitely want to come back and try everything. The staff were super friendly and let us hang out for a while. It’s a bit pricey but totally worth it for the quality of the food and cozy atmosphere. One of the best all vegan spots we’ve been to in Toronto.
Went on Oct 31, 2024. Had the mozzarella sticks, lasagna, sub, and salmon. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend 10/10
Loved the sandwiches. Yes, a bit pricy, but they’re filling and prices have gone up everywhere! Can’t wait to go back.
We went during the soft open, so they were working out many kinks. I had tried their sandwiches before at Gia’s and was always impressed. Everything we had here was just a 3/5 - the textures weren’t quite right and the taste wasn’t as good as it could have been, with the exception of the stellar Italian sub. I just don’t think the prices match what you get, especially during the soft open, but they’re too high for the quality. I would love to see this place succeed, I’m looking forward to returning when they’ve opened fully and will update my review then. The staff are incredible! I hope they bring back the fried chicken and the fish sandwich. Updated from previous review on 2024-10-12
