We've patroned here several times, so the expectations were set in terms of food and service. Of course did not disappoint. Oysters, fillets, lobster, truffle fries and brussel sprouts were outstanding.
What separates this visit prompting a review, was our server. Kyla elevated the experience from meeting expectations to genuinely exceeding them. Professional, accommodating, able to read a tables energy and either match it or take it to the right zone. Her recommendations were cleverly tailored and hit the nail on the head. Knowledge of the menu and recommended pairings, spot on. The perfect mix of professional service and bright, energetic, interesting conversation. STK Yorkville, this one is a keeper. I would request her as our server on every occassion.

My husband and I had a reservation at STK for 10:00 pm on February 14 and arrived exactly on time. Upon arrival, our waitress, Alexandria (I hope I spelled the name right, apologies if not), informed us there would be a 10 to 15 minute wait.
I politely mentioned that it would have been helpful for this potential delay to be communicated on the website at the time of booking, especially since we had another reservation afterward. Being delayed meant we would either arrive late to our next booking or feel pressured to rush our meal.
Instead of acknowledging the feedback or offering a simple apology, she responded by saying I should have expected delays because it was Valentine’s Day and that it was “obvious.” When I asked if she meant that every restaurant in Toronto would have a wait time, she said yes. I then questioned whether that justified the lack of communication.
I have dined at many restaurants on Valentine’s Day and have never experienced this, so I do not consider it normal or acceptable. What made the situation worse was not the delay itself, but the dismissive response. Expecting guests to accept lateness without proper communication reflects poorly on the service experience.
This felt like mediocre service and honestly affected our overall evening at STK. If delays are expected, clients should be informed in advance, and staff should be trained to respond with professionalism and accountability. A simple apology would have completely changed the tone of the interaction.
Very disappointing, and not the level of service I would expect from a restaurant like STK. Our Dinner was ruined thanks to your staff.

I wish the average dj played the music that was playing during my dinner. The food was amazing and the service was- I think the best restaurant service I’ve ever had- honestly. It was one of the busiest floors I’ve ever sat in , and I was anticipating poor service because of the sheer volume of people. This was not the case! Our server Kyla did not let our drinks stay empty, made great recommendations and on top of that she had an awesome and magnetic personality- so funny and cool! I can’t remember the last time I had genuine laughs with a person I’ve just met, in such a high stress situation no less!

The real highlight of our night was our server, Natalia. She was attentive, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable, making thoughtful recommendations and ensuring every detail was perfect. Ive been absolutely dying to go to stk for months and my wonderful boyfriend surprised me with dinner at this amazing restaurant. Ryan was our server and boy did her deliver, he made sure everything was taken care of and ran smoothly big shoutout to him. highly recommend coming here if you want a nice fancy dinner with exceptional service.
