This location has really gone downhill. First of all how do you only have one person working the majority of the time?? During the busiest parts of the day one person is taking the orders and handling the register. I’ve seen people just walk out because of the long lines. Yes, I understand if you don’t like it just don’t go there but there are people not from the area that may visit this location and get trapped into dealing with the disrespectful way this location deals with the community. Secondly the last few times I went there the bread has been stale. Personally for me the Bread is the main part of a Sub and if it’s stale this ruins the experience. I hope the owners read this post and make some changes. You guys are in a great location and need to make a few tweaks to get back to the Subway standard that we’ve been accustomed to.

The worst footlong I have ever tasted. No sauce despite ordering more than 4 sauce. Very dry over grilled and to my surprise the place was not even busy still she did not had time to make one order properly
This is my favourite Subway location! The food is always incredibly fresh, and the customer service is excellent. I come here often and there is usually only 1 person working at a time, but they are always very fast and efficient. It’s a lot of work to put on one person, especially around the lunch time rush, but they always get it done and I appreciate their hard work, and the delicious sandwiches. Thank you!

They need more people working here, there is always only one person behind the counter everytime I come which doesn’t seem fair to them when there’s a queue.

This place is never ready to serve customers in the morning. You have to wait until they put out all the the ingredients on display, their oven for toasting wont be ready. Their explanation was oh but we just opened , and they cant come in earlier to set things up like any other store because then they have to get paid for the extra 30 mins. Very bad service. This has happened every time

The bread was stale and tough to eat.
I arrived at 9:10pm, there was only 1 person serving and the customer in front of me had a big order… I didn't mind waiting to order my food and did just that. Once my sandwich was ready and I paid I was told the store was closed for dine in- it was 9:34! The store technically closes at 10pm, I found the young ladies demeanor extremely offensive .

I do not advise anyone to try Shish Tawook.
I ordered sweet onion and the server didn’t put any … that should be the star my order . He’s making me hurry .., and no one is waiting

ATTN FRANCHISEE.RE: Subway Restaurant 1900 Eglington Ave, East, Scarborough. It would appear that most of your bad reviews have to do with either pricing or customer service. I won't comment on the pricing issue at the moment but will instead focus this review on the customer service side of things.THE LOCATIONI've been to this Subway location many times before and like that it's located in this plaza - lots of parking and just off of Eglington so that's convenient for me.THE ATMOSPHEREThis is quite a big location in terms of square footage. I've been to some very tiny Subway restaurants before and I can tell you from experience, that this is a huge location.I like that it's spacious and bright with lots of seats. There's never an issue getting a seat here. The one thing I would say is that I've seen the occasional dirty/sticky tables that needed to be wiped down BUT, I know the reason for this....keep reading.THE SUPER STAR EMPLOYEEEvery time I've visited this location, I've been served by the same young girl. She's super friendly, VERY efficient, and moves like lightning - she has to!I've stood there in line and looked at this young lady's work and I must say, I was impressed with her efficiency, and ability to work so well under pressure while still being able to maintain a friendly and patient attitude toward customers.I was a few times in 2023 and she was the only employee there at the front serving people, making subs, and cashing. As I stood in line patiently waiting, the line-up kept getting longer and I was expecting that another employee to come out from the back to help this poor girl who was doing her best to keep up but no one came to help her.I went again a few times in 2023 expecting to see someone new or, perhaps a second employee but I saw the same girl. Once again, people started piling in the door but NO ONE came out from the back to help this young lady. I was confused. You mean, she still here ALONE?!?! I thought to myself.Fast forward to 2024 - yesterday to be exact and once again, I went there fully expecting to see someone new, perhaps more employees BUT NO! The same girl was there struggling to keep up. I was SHOCKED!!!Note that my 3-star review has nothing to do with this employee - 5 Stars for here!A BUSY PLACEThis location is next to Starbucks and in a VERY busy plaza so there is always a good amount of traffic into this store.I bet you anything that this store's sales are pretty darn good! So why then can't they hire a second person to help out at the front? When does this young lady get a break? When does she even have time to breathe?THE BIG PROBLEMI've been to other Subway restaurants literally half the size of this one and have always seen TWO if not more employees. Because of this, there's hardly a line-up, and the employees can share the workload and be efficient, keeping the place clean. However, at this location, it seems as though the franchisee either does not want to spend the money to hire another person or does not care about the well-being of this poor girl who's been there for at least two years as far as I can tell with ZERO HELP at the front counter. Is this franchisee breaking any labor laws by not getting this young lady the help she so desperately needs I wonder? And, does the Subway office know what's happening here?IN SUMMARYTo all Subway customers that read this, the next time you visit this location pay attention - is the same girl there from your last visit? Does she have help? ASK HER!I am hoping the franchisee reads this very serious review and understands that one reason they have a 3 STAR review is directly related to the lack of service because there are just not enough employees here. Please get some HELP for this Superstar employee!

Horrible customer service. Take a drive and visit the location on Ellesmere or another location - don’t waste your time here unless you are really starving. Foolish, immature and generally ignorant staff — not all the staff… The female staff I am referring to is on the shorter side and appears to be of Indian decent. I won’t say her name. When you want a simple sandwich and good customer service choose another location that will make it easy for you. Don’t waste your time here, if possible.

This location is a total rip off. Subs here are significantly more expensive than other locations. The same 6 inch sub shouldn't be $4 more expensive than Subways in downtown, stay away.
