The service is very friendly, but the food is really not delicious.
The matcha steamed buns had no matcha flavor, the skin was super thick, and there was no soup when you bite into it. It was a complete failure.
The glutinous rice chicken is a little too salty, but the ingredients are quite good, including chicken and egg yolk.

Food was delicious but did not accurately mark nuts. Had a bad allergic reaction afterwards despite nothing we ordered saying it had nuts. Deeply disappointed given how good it was.

EDIT: Don't appreciate the unprofessional response from the business. I had the worst allergic reaction of my life because of your restaurant; how dare you make excuses. Clearly, your staff cross contaminated the food in unsafe and dangerous ways. Will be telling everyone I know to AVOID THIS PLACE. no wonder it was empty.

Dietary restrictions: Did not order anything with nuts, had a bad allergic reaction nonetheless. I think either something had nuts or there was major cross contamination in unsafe ways. Either way, may have to go to the ER because of them. Disappointed doesn't even cover it.

Service was slow. The ribs were served in a pool of grease. Not good.

It's cheap and delicious. The kitchen also looked clean. The bathroom was also clean.

As a vegetarian in Toronto, Sue Fungs has one of the best tasting veggie dumplings ever. I think it's mushroom and scallion or something? Either way. Delicious.

Too expensive for what it is. Not worth the price.

The guy who works here is very unpleasant. Despite the food being decent, his attitude and coldness overshadow the entire experience and have made me not want to return. I hesitated to write a review but this is the second time he's been pretty aggressive barking at me to pick up my own order and telling me that it's a "self-serve restaurant" despite the place being empty on both occasions.

Arrive at 5:25, days closed when it says it closes at 6:00, guy came to the door and says the last call is 5:30…welp buddy it was 5:25 when i arrived - you can see the time stamp on this review will be 5:28 lol.

This is enough of a shitty thing to do to never get me back to try the food, was so looking forward to it

The food tasted reheated and was pretty prices for what it was. I would not go back again and will tell all of my friends not to go here. They guy working there was rude and talked to me and my kids like we were mindless. Maybe that’s why he had an empty shop.

We wanted to find a good dim sum restaurant. We drove over an hour and parked .7 miles away to give this place a try. There were no customers in sight. The server guy came off very demanding and telling us how to place an order with him, how we need to pick up the food like they do at McDonald’s and throw away our own trash before we could even look at the menu. It’s no wonder you guys have zero customers with a street full of tourists and residents choosing to dine else where. The guy was so rude that my family and I chose to continue walking an extra mile for dim sum. This guy has no etiquette and don’t deserve our business.

The food tastes like they bought it bulk from Costco and reheated it. But also it's not cheap ($7-10 for 4 dumplings). Also, seems very unnecessary to have everything be single use (cups, chopsticks, plates, etc.). Service is non-existent because it's "self-serve". For how close it is to Chinatown, you could just go to Spadina and get real dim sum.
