Absolutely phenomenal experience. The service is so friendly and quick, we got a table and our food all in a timely manner. It’s a busy quaint atmosphere, feels very homely. The food is perfection. The meatball was tender and flavourful and the mozzarella sticks were cheesy and delicious. We got the pesto spaghetti and their rose sauce rigatoni. Both were amazing but the pesto was our favourite, it truly lives up to the hype it’s delectable. For dessert we got the tiramisu which was also perfectly delicious and creamy. Can’t wait for my next visit!
Lived up to the hype!! Service from the get go was fantastic. Food exceeded expectations, just high quality well done Italian-American! Will be back!
“LOST FLAVOR “
Atmosphere was great , our servers and whoever we met there were great , polite and friendly
Cezar salad was one of the best in the city no doubt
There only one important problem, food was not yummy
We tried day special “ Carbonara” which was a bit better but nothing special to mention
and veal cutlet parm ,lost flavor, don’t know what was it but there was nothing as seasoning in veal parm , maybe lack of salt
One star short for the flavor
Sugo Toronto – The Start of A Night to Remember
We came with a crew of 13 and left with full bellies, happy hearts, and a new favorite spot in the city. Sugo delivered an unforgettable family-style dining experience—layers of amazing appetizers, killer pastas, and pizza that could make you weep (in the best way).
The Vesuvio pizza stole the show—spicy, smoky, briny… it had this deep umami richness that made it impossible to stop at just one slice. You could tell each dish was made with care, and every bite felt like it had a story behind it.
The vibe? Electric. This stretch of Bloor feels like it’s in the middle of something exciting, and Sugo is clearly one of the beating hearts of that energy. The team—from the bartenders to the servers—radiates joy. You get the sense they love being there, and it makes you love it too.
Most of our group flew in from Winnipeg and Regina—we’re the locals—and this night was about more than great food. We were here to take in a Jays game and, more importantly, to surround one of our dearest friends as they face a fight with cancer. That sense of connection and love made the evening unforgettable. Sugo was the perfect place for it: warm, vibrant, and full of life.
A few espresso martinis made their way around the table, and let’s just say the evening only got better from there. We’ll be back, no question.
No-nonsense, superb pastas for a great price with prompt service. Meatball, garlic bread and Caesar salads all good too. Small interior so not a lot of seating though.
Best Pizza and Pasta in Toronto!!
It was soooooo amazing.
tourist trap with rushing atmosphere and pathetic horrible tableware and high prices. Staff is nice and cute but overall not worth it.
Worth the wait on an early, wet Wednesday afternoon, when even then they are busy. No reservations. They took our name and phone to let us know a table freed up in 30 min. We ordered Caesar salad, Veal Parmigiana Cutlet , Spaghetti Pesto Cream with Sugo, and Rigatoni. Family style followed by an order of Tiramisu. Outstanding. Generous portions.
One of my favorite spots in Toronto! The staff is lovely, the food is always good but there's always a wait so plan ahead. It's worth it though!
Restaurantji Recommends
Everything was great. The tiramisu didn’t disappoint.
Sugo rocks—hands down the best Italian-American spot in Toronto, maybe even Canada. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve eaten in or taken out, and there isn’t a bad dish on the menu. Every visit feels like stepping straight into Brooklyn. The portions are huge, the service is great, and the vibe is always lively. The restaurant is tiny and usually packed, so expect a wait—but the good news is their sister spot next door often has seating, and you won’t go wrong with either.
Awesome pizza and pasta

I’d heard so much about this place and was so excited to finally try it. Even though getting a table at night was tough (had to wait over an hour!), it was definitely worth it. I highly recommend the pesto cream spaghetti – it was AMAZING, so good! I’d definitely go back. The waiter was super friendly and funny, which made the experience even better. Just a heads up, they only accept debit or cash, not credit. And if you can't find a spot, they have a second location right next door, and they stay open until around 11pm.
