Second time here and had another great night at Sugo with some friends, and Kasia made it even better. She was attentive, welcoming, and gave amazing service all around. She’s a fantastic host and we’ll definitely be back soon

Restaurants are more than simply places to eat. When done well, they are places which transport us to another world, another place and time in our lives where we can feel free of our day to day worries. More than any other place in the Toronto, I believe Sugo is capable of that. Their generous servings of nostalgic, inviting and ever addictive italian cuisine never cease to take the weight off the shoulders of everyone i bring there. The amazing stuffed peppers, endlessly indulgent lasagna and creamy pesto pasta were matched, if not topped, by the warmth of the hospitality those who served it. Drew and Gary, along with everyone involved never cease to not only make us feel welcomed, but also a part of something homely, intimate, and uniquely Toronto. Throughout my family it is almost tradition to settle a debate on where to eat with words “probably sugo”. And in truth, if there’s one place in this city everyone should try, it’s probably sugo.

We are so thankful for the unbelievable dinner we had at Sugo this evening. We had no expectations other than the unbelievable hype that this restaurant has created and it exceeded everything! The appetizers, especially the olives, mozzarella sticks, and stuffed peppers were our favorite. We thoroughly enjoyed the veal Parmesan and that spicy chicken Parmesan as it has become our favorite! We are so thankful for the unbelievable service that Gary and front of house drew shared with us. They are so respectful and as professional as you would want from any restaurant, we are so thankful for their hospitality thank you Drew for taking us out out of the rain as we would have been waiting for hours. We truly appreciate your sympathy. We would’ve waited in the rain regardless, but we thank you so much thank you Sugo. We had the best time. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that values food and a great time.

Oh my god. The food here is sooooo good. I love the burrata. I love the pesto. I love stealing my boyfriend’s food as well. AND THE PORTION SIZES. Would always come back here whenever I’m in the area. I love that they’re always busy, that’s how you know it’s good.

The place is packed! Why? Because it is the best pasta in town. The meatball is moist, the ragu is the best I have ever had. The cesura salad is tangy yet not too strong and obviously homemade like everything. The tiramisu is most rich and perfect!

Much ado about nothing. Having been to Italy a number of times I must say that this restaurant is an abomination !
I do not understand why it’s being touted that prices are low …
$31for a pizza is not cheap nor $22/ for a burrata. The quality is extremely low for everything . The Parm chicken was just breaded chicken in an indelible sauce. Just three pasta selections. The spaghetti bolognaise was a heap of bland tasteless mass. The pizza was passable. Tiramisu was the only saving grace.
Wines for around $ 13-14/- were served in small water glasses which totally robbed the taste for me. Zero ambiance. Wait staff behaving as if they are doing you a favour.
Home cooked Italian food by someone whose mom doesn’t know how to cook!
