Shockingly awful service. The server is not trained for the job. He not only sounded annoyed from the start while taking the order but lacked any basic courtesy. One of the friends didnt like their drink and asked them if they could replace and he started aruging and just walked away without offering any solution. The food was okay and the pricing was decent, but other places like PAI are much better in everything. They need to either train or change their server whose name on the bill showed as âmanagerâ.

The food was mid, I ordered the Khao Soi and was disappointed to hear the curry was being made with condensed milk instead of coconut milk. Though it had good flavor, at $22 I would expect it to use coconut milk. Compounding to that, I wish the menu mentioned this. Being lactose intolerant, it would have ruined my day had I not asked.
Couple suggestions for improvement: 1) Mention in the menu the broth uses condensed milk and 2) Try to use coconut milk to make the dish more authentic.

The chicken in the pad thai was tasteless as in no salt no seasoning nothing. And there seemed to be only one server for 12 tables? So needless to say the service was terrible, impossible to ask for anything even to order. My friend liked the Khao Soi though. Would not come back and would not recommed to anyone
So I loved this place the last time I was there and was about to order but man there a lot of reviews of roaches if the front of the restaurant is infested then the back could be even worse. Roaches have been seen from 10 years ago to even a month ago. So wonât be ordering from here.
A food inspector needs to shut this place down asap.
I hope more people know about this issue. Hence reposting.

Sukothai as we knew it from years ago has lost its charm. Food quality has degraded a bit, yet still enjoyable. However, the service has degraded to a food court and cleanliness is an after thought at best. Service is what makes the restaurant and the servers are worn out, so is your experience. I will be doing take out next to give it one more shot. Enjoy!

I have visited this restaurant a few times, and my experiences have been troubling:
First visit: I went with a group of Asian friends. The managerâs attitude was condescending and dismissive toward us. Several of us felt uncomfortable interacting with him.
Second visit: I returned with a friend, and the situation was even worse. The manager insisted we could only place our order at the entrance, not at the table. Shortly after, a group of white customers arrived, and he greeted them warmly, escorted them to a table, and allowed them to order without restrictions.
After we placed our order, we noticed that all the other customers, including those who arrived after us, were served their food before us, even though we had ordered much earlier.
When I confronted the manager about why we were being treated so differently, he became visibly agitated and started yelling, claiming that he doesnât discriminate. His defensive and aggressive reaction felt more like an attempt to cover up his actions than provide an honest explanation. Honestly, if there was nothing to hide, why resort to yelling at customers?
I have reported this managerâs behavior to the Ontario Human Rights Commission and other relevant organizations.
UPDATE: Despite these incidents, I have not received any form of apology or acknowledgment from the restaurant. Their complete lack of care for their customers only reinforces the discriminatory attitude still exists.
