I walked in this place and this place isn’t looking like what other photo says I guess they changed the place but Google says same place Anyway I ordered what I got recommended by the guy who probably the owner ( he even tried to up sell big one for myself ) And I got my food like that I had a few bites and that was all I could have apart from Rice and not even any sauce I asked him That they have some sauce for it And I finally got a small hot sauce but still I have never felt mad at food order but I have now I feel Scammed Won’t ever visit back

Owner is quite rude... Was waiting outside for a few minutes for an order next door with a baby in a stroller, and he came out to ask how long I'd be there because I had the dog with me. Really unfriendly.

Our first time ordering from Sumac. The line up was almost out the door but we only waited about 15 minutes to get our food. Well worth the wait. My wife ordered the Mixed shawarma plate and I ordered the Mixed kebab plate. Lots of flavour on all the food items included and hefty portions too. We will definitely come back to try other items on their menu.
We came when the sun just gone down and it was in the middle of Ramadan. Lots of hungry people and this place was packed.

Good was great !!! …,, but. The service is ridiculous;(. I’m in the food service industry and can’t believe how poorly the kitchen is ran. I waited 45 minutes for a shawarma, I repeat 45 minutes!! Why are you guys asking orders , getting paid and gave the restaurant packed with frustrated guests waiting on food that should literate 5 minutes??! Why don’t people line up , order , pay , leave ? Concept is quite simple. Please feel free to reach out if you’d like to talk about how to improve service!! I’m blown away , how it takes so long , obviously you don’t have anyone that has any proper kitchen experience:(. I guarantee, that you could have people in and out in 20 Minutes , no matter how busy.

They have exchanged the shop and did not update the website for change of address. So we ended up going to Lilly restaurant and spoiled our day by eating non authentic food..

I was charged for my order, but Sumac no longer exists. Be careful if you're still seeing Sumac’s website or old information – it's outdated! The new restaurant in its place is called Lili Kitchen

By far our WORST service experience so far...here's what happened:
I went with my family to celebrate my brother's birthday. I brought a birthday cake which was provided to the workers to keep in the back and bring out when we were ready. I spent almost 2 hours looking for the perfect cake, in downtown. I saw the waitress bring out a similar cake for another table. The other table did their celebration, then they ate the cake and took the rest home.
When i asked for my cake, i was later told that it was given to another table by accident. That same table...
They ate our cake, with my brothers NAME on it, and took the rest home, borderline STEALING our cake, knowing it was NOT intended for them...
The manager did not provide any compensation for this ordeal, and tried to get me to get a cake from the store next door, which I had to turn down because they were below quality cheapo butter cream cakes.
I spent 50 dollars on the one I found for my brother in downtown. The manager ended up sending me the cost of the cake and that was that.
Avoid this place if you don't want to deal with staff incapable of doing the most basic of tasks, incapable of double checking anything, let alone reading something to confirm it. Ask yourself if this is the level of negligence in their service, what happens with their sanitation processes in the back?

Old and smelly meet kebabThey gave two old meals of beef kebab to my husband today May 17 2024 afternoon. As soon as we opened the meal box, the smell of old meat was obviously disgusting. I had to reorder another food from another restaurant as I did not want to food poison my child. This is disgusting. We want our money back. I have your several times to call them today, but no one is available.You don't deserve even one star.
