I love the place and happy it’s in the neighborhood, but I wish their coffees was just as good as Darkhorse or dare I even say, Starbucks. The last time I was there, the chai latte was luke warm and the chai flavor was mild/barely there, I had to microwave it when I got home. Not okay. Please, step up your coffee game.

Cute interior, super friendly staff, matcha latte was great, breakfast sandwich was so fresh, and love that their up charge for plant based milks is reasonable!

I have been to Sumach Espresso on many occasions when I'm on Holiday in Toronto, and I can't recommend it enough! It has a welcoming, sunny, independent vibe and the staff are kind, attentive, friendly and truly customer oriented. (And go above and beyond to meet customer's beverage requests). The coffee is always splendid and the lunch rolls are generously made with a variety of delicious fillings, and warmed to perfection for a crispy, toasty, tasty lunch. I also want to mention that S.E sells the best of the best almond croissants in the city. But get there early because they sell out fast!

Unfortunately this place just lost a long time customer. Ive coming here for 3 years with my elderly dog in his carrying case (which is on me and he is wrapped in a towel, like a front baby carrier) as he is very old and cannot stand outside. This has never been a problem before and we have happily been getting coffees here for years. The barista today told me that we are not allowed in the store and it's policy. I completely understand when a dog is on the ground or has potential to bite, or get into something like food product. But we have enjoyed morning coffee for many years like this and this treatment from the staff was extremely disappointing. I will no longer be recommending this coffee shop to anyone in our neighborhood

Great coffee shop in the regent park area. Amazing vanilla latte (iced and warm are both amazing).
Lots of outlets if you’re interested in working there. Music also is a great vibe and not insanely loud so doesn’t bother you too much.
Sandwiches could use improvement.

Hot lattes are better than iced at this store, but super delicious! Best latte I’ve had in a while. The staff is really nice as well and they are pretty coordinated for such a busy place. They also give customers an option of double or single shots of espresso which is great.
Nice place to come with friends too.

Just moved to the area and was super excited to try out this place.. but, the iced coffees are just "okay". Over everything though, the lady at the counter needs a lesson or two in customer service and could stand to put a smile on her face at the very least. Super aesthetically pleasing spot though, I will say that.

Really nice people, who are passionate about what they do, great Italian coffee, best espresso in Toronto, and if you looking for ice tea they make their own which was so yummy. Great vibe! They helped me blow off another 30km on my bike. A must stop if this hood.

Great cafe tucked away from main road so it isn't too loud but accessible on bike rides.
