Tried going in tonight to get sushi as I’ve seen good reviews. Got in, was not approached to put my name on the waitlist for seating. Server was super busy, seemed like she was doing everything alone. Took the name of two men who came in AFTER me, still never took my name, I had to speak up to get my name on the waitlist. Was upset and was going to get take out but still no one came by to take my order. Left and got food down the street. Might try to go in another night, but very disappointing experience. Restaurant should have a host to manage waitlist and take out orders.

It was a big problem last night. I told the service i dont want the vegs in my son sushi roll but they still came with them. But poor working class girl. Service took her order and never pou nch it on. What a rookie

Sushi California is definitely my go-to spot for sushi! The place itself is quite small for how popular it is, and to be honest, it’s not the most attractive restaurant inside or outside. It’s always full when I go. But honestly, it’s absolutely worth it because the food is just that good!
The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and everything tastes fresh and delicious. I usually start by sharing the fried shrimps—they’re big, crispy, and super tasty. For rolls, my absolute favorite is the Double Dynamite Roll (I order it every single time!). I also really enjoy the Green Dragon Roll, and I’ve tried both the Malibu Roll and the Cowboy Roll, which are also delicious.
All of their sushi rolls are flavorful, original, and different. This spot never disappoints—it’s always my go-to sushi place!
