The fig paired with monkfish liver in a crisp monaka, and the persimmon and shrimp in a silky tofu sauce, both gentle yet memorable. It is so rare to find this level of imagination in Japanese cuisine here, and the warm, fun chef made the experience even more enjoyable. I will definitely come back to see what chef Yuta can offer with winter ingredients!

My arrival at Sushi Kiwami had me amazed with the tranquility and the sophisticated yet simple woody interior, warm lights, spotless dining area, and perfect details that almost made it seem like it was transported straight from Japan .
In my opinion Chef Yuta Arase is the epitome of culinary mastery. Precision, creativity, and real love for the art of cooking were the qualities present in each dish. The flavor balance, texture, and styling were flawless as well - from the taste layered appetizers to the sushi that melted in your mouth. Quality and technique were the two elements that became evident in every single bite.
The enthusiasm of Chef Yuta can be felt in every serving that goes out and his calm, funny, and attentive demeanor made the meal more intimate. The staff were very considerate, and everything went smoothly from the beginning up to the end of the meal.
If you are looking for an excellent omakase experience at an intimate and authentic place, Sushi Kiwami should be your first choice.
