This sushi restaurant delivered an excellent experience from start to finish, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and beautifully presented rolls that tasted just as good as they looked. The fish was incredibly fresh and very high quailty. The prices were also very fair and good. The atmosphere was clean, modern, and very welcoming. The staff here also are very friendly, patient, and kind! Their services are truly amazing, making this place a must-visit for anyone who loves sushi! Truly a 5 star place.

The food is so tasty and it’s a really great experience i felt happy to eat here and i could tell that the people working here puts a lot of care in the sushi. I would come here 100 times again i wish i could eat it every single day. The gentleman who made my sushi should get a raise

I really do not like leaving negative reviews, but I want to be honest about my experience. I finally tried Sushi on the Run after walking past it for years and hearing so many people call it a long time favourite. I truly hoped it would live up to the hype. I am also neurodivergent in a way that is invisible to others, so small things in service can affect me more than people realize. Everyone is allowed to share their honest opinions and experiences, and this is mine.
The food was disappointing. The sushi did not taste very fresh. The rice was extremely vinegary and kept falling apart in my hands. Some rolls looked watery and the salmon pieces were much smaller than expected. From far away the portions look generous, but for almost sixteen dollars the taste and quality did not match the price. There are other sushi places nearby that cost less and taste much better with far warmer service.
The service is what affected me the most. I was polite the entire time, saying excuse me and thank you as I tried to pick out my food. Even then the husband and wife behind the counter barely acknowledged me. They kept staring at me while I was choosing, which made me feel unwelcome and stressed even though I was not doing anything wrong.
I had several shopping bags from earlier and placed them neatly in the corner because the store was empty after other customers left. I was trying to be considerate. When I asked if my items counted as a mix and match, the woman answered in a way that felt condescending instead of helpful. It was a simple question, yet the tone made me feel like I was bothering her.
I then reached for my debit card which took less than a minute. I was not holding up a line. I was not being difficult. But the atmosphere made me feel like an inconvenience. The husband gave me a very harsh stare the entire time, and as someone who is already anxious and easily overwhelmed, it became too much. I went home and cried afterward because I did not understand why I was treated that way.
I know food service is tiring and people can have bad days, but there was no patience or warmth during my visit. Combined with the quality of the food, the experience left me feeling uncomfortable and hurt.
I respect the effort to keep prices affordable, but unfortunately the food and the atmosphere did not work for me at all. I left disappointed because I know there are many other sushi spots nearby that taste better, cost less, and treat customers with more kindness.
This was my first and last visit. I hope things improve for future customers.

Overall a very solid place. Especially when after 4pm they offer the “buy 1 get 1 free” so that’s very ideal.
Sometimes though the staff don’t seem happy / they try to rush you to make your picks even if there aren’t others in the store.
But I’ve yet to find a place in Toronto where you can get 2 proper sushi containers for $10 (again with the 4pm discount), and I’ve been to places where it was more expensive but wasn’t as good. So yeah: fairly solid :)

It's food court sushi. Don't have too high expectations it will fill you up. The price is decent for a meal. Rice was too mushy and soggy for me. Freshness of ingredients seemed ok. Not somewhere I'll order from again.

The owners were extremely rude to us. Me and my friend were thinking what to order and all of a sudden she raised her voice and told us to hurry even though it hasnt been a minute since we got there. I asked about the attitude and that time he told me that we are keeping their costumers on the line but the funny part is there was no customer waiting. Overall quality is mid. It should not be considered as a cheap price sushi. All 50% deals expire the next day so not worth the risk for sure.

The owner was very rude saying slurs to rush us buy something while we were trying to choose what to buy. Very rude service. Their sushi is usually expired but I use to buy just because it was on my way to work. Unacceptable attitude towards customers, never coming here again.
The sushi is always fresh and Tastes good but their rolls are a rip off in size. Most of them are cut so small that it's half a size of a normal piece
