I ordered online via ritual. They said they didn't receive the order and took incredibly long to bring just 2 pieces of cake. Two pieces of cake! They weren't baking it, it's pre-made and ready to put in a box. The restaurant was empty. Literally no one else was there. My uber driver was pissed off. I was stressed out. Not a good time.

$10 for one mashed up Reeses cake and $10 for a tiny slice of cheesecake. You're better off going to the grocery store and buying a whole cake. There was minimal flavor and just overall disappointing.
Edit: I indicated pine nut allergy and ended up with a kid requiring an epipen administration. French Vanilla ice cream was delightful though. Stick with the ice cream - only if you don't have any allergies

Tried to go here on Christmas day as it was one of the few places open in the downtown area. I had stopped going here a while ago as the mediocre food is overpriced and there are better places in the area. But we thought we would try it for a Christmas brunch in what is a neighbourhood fixture where we used to go back in the day, when it was still appealing. A drag queen was performing as we walked in (great, we love drag) but the music they were playing was at an obnoxiously loud, ear-shattering level for early afternoon on Christmas day. We couldn't believe it. We tried to find a table at the back to perhaps be away from the speakers, but it was just as loud back there. We felt trapped as we had not seen anyplace else on Church open. But my friend, who actually likes lively music and regularly goes to Latin night at another bar on Saturdays, said it would be impossible for us to have any conversation. I literally had to talk directly into the ear of a server to say anything. When I asked if the music was going to be this loud all afternoon, she just said "yes" with not a word of apology or even an offer to turn it down even slightly. I was not asking for the music to be turned off, but simply turned down to a bearable level. This kind of contempt for customers is what drove me away in the first place, and was a reminder never to go back. Who on Christmas day wants to listen to ear shattering music in the middle of the afternoon, the kind that literally makes your ears ring? Happily, we found Fran's diner a few blocks away open, and was bustling with customers, and no deafening music. We were able to enjoy a nice brunch and actually have a conversation, as we could not do at O'Grady's. Don't need that kind of attitude on Christmas day.
The patio is an enjoyable place to enjoy an afternoon drink. The waiters are attentive and friendly. The tables are rather sticky and I would not touch the flagstone floor. I saw a drink spilled and no effort made to mop the flagstones. Do not order the food or you will most definitely regret it later. I did!
The food was overpriced and I saw mice running all over the patio! Made me feel gross while I was eating.

Cool place - awesome Mocktails! And super friendly staff. We just stopped in to have a drink whilst wondering up and down Church Street. Could not have been made more welcome.
Although they are having SkipDish problems that resulted in me getting someone else's order (sorry R. A. but) the cake was in fact delicious. I hope the other person got mine from the other location and that it was tasty. I am rating them highly because the guy who made the cake explained that Skip, in their wisdom, had slapped all locations with the same menu and that This Was Wrong, and although they had been informed by various means that they were wrong, they had chosen not to correct the issue; and well, that isn't the fault of the restaurant and I have been promised further desserts, which is worth a couple stars.Tl;dr: SkipDish bad: wrong menu, will make all parties involved angry/sad. Call restaurant: nice guy, good cake.
Today, we went to O'Grandy's on Church. Our server was Elliot. Elliot's service was excellent and so was the food he suggested. I had the fish and chips, and everything Elliott suggested. Wow! I think, we were served by the sweetest server in Toronto. His soft "hello" and kind voice makes us come back to O'Grandy's. The restaurant has a very nice patio and a cosy bar. Drinks were amazing! I must say we were lucky to be served by the sweetest server we have ever met. The menu is varied enough. The fish and chips was so delicious! The breakfast menu was equally varied. I could have ordered at least 6 items on the menu. Therefore, the service is great, prices are reasonable. The patio and restrooms were clean and well maintained. Two thumbs up for the food and 5 stars for Elliott's service! Thank you.
We were served by a new server, 'Elliott' -- very polite server. Just brilliant! We got the highest level of customer service I have experienced so far. He made us feel special. Within 90 seconds, we sat he greeted us and took our drink order. He suggested many drinks (one of them was 'Majito'), and many appetizers (e.g. cheese square, fish takos, deepfried pickels, etc. Shortly, the server took our main meal order. Within two minutes the server brought sideplates and appropriate utensils. Within about 5 minutes drinks were delivered and appetizers with a gentle voice and great smile. Within about 8 minutes and checked to see if we need any refill drinks. As soon as the food was delivered the server asked us if there is anything else he can bring us. He told us 'Bon appetite!' with a smile. Within 2 minutes after the food was being served, the server returned and checked in on us, and asked if the food is to their liking and asked if we needed a refill. Chicking Finger and Fries was delitious. Great Service & great food!
I stumbled upon this pub while walking around the neighborhood. Unfortunately, I did not check the reviews before choosing the bar, I just decided to go here because: - they have a nice patio - I thought this is a classical Irish pub - there were a lot of guests so I thought I found a great place :) I ordered a beer and a burger and it was not good - my bun fell apart, the patty was so-so, not great - not terrible, and the number of pickles and onion was pretty disappointing. Overall - pretty bad and definitely overpriced. Wedgies were nice, though. Not coming back.
